Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not normal Holiday Inn quality This hotel has seen better days. Room was nasty and half the light bulbs were burnt out. I guess I've been spoiled with other Holiday Inn Expresses that are updated and clean. At 2am there was a drunk guy pounding on his door, swearing, and out of control waking up the whole floor. After a half hour the staff finally called the cops. That's what to expect with a bar in the lobby I guess. Not real great for a family atmosphere with drunks wondering around near the pool!! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not my best stay there We hold our Family Reunion at this facility every June. This year was a bit disappointing in comparison to others. My room was always damp - felt damp and smelled damp. Turning up the AC helped some, but left the room so cold I couldn't be in it. I understand that due to the quick turn-around on the rooms, some things could be mistakenly missed. There were no washcloths in my bathroom. I can live without one. The next day no one came to service my room. I had only put the privacy sign up once for about 15 mins. and I do not believe the cleaning team was even in the hallway. No fresh towels, which may have contributed to the damp feel in the room; no made bed, nothing. For a shower that night I dried a towel on the AC unit since no one answered at Housekeeping. Check in time on Friday was 4:00, which is a bit late by most standards. Many of our party were arriving earlier. We were met at the desk with barely congenial comments about the check-in time. Many were told to return in an hour to check on their room; and then another hour; and then another hour. Eventually it was 4:00 and everyone could check in. Just say so. The Sunday breakfast buffet had been set up in the hallway in previous years, but was set up in the restaurant this time. It was WAY overcrowded since everything was in smaller areas. The chocolate fountain was placed on a shelf high enough that even some of the adults had a tough time reaching it without spilling, knocking things over, etc. You can imagine the mess kids could make of this. The desserts were on a small flower display cart, precariously balanced to try to fit in as many as possible. Most people didn't even notice it. Maybe this was their way of keeping the amount taken to a minimum. Ours was not the only group there and we felt sorry for people who came to the restaurant for Father's Day, or just for brunch. I would not have wanted to spend the full price for this meal. We'll be back next year since it is already booked, but I hope it's better than this year. June 28, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Too much hype..... Over the past 15 years or so I've heard great things about this hotel....I grew up in a small town not far from here. French quarter this, French Quarter that. I've stayed here only a couple of times and have been disappointed on both occasions. My girlfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary a couple of weeks ago and for the money spent, we were both disappointed with the delivery or lack thereof. To start, the bathroom only had one towel when we arrived....there was a dirty washcloth sitting on the top of the shower curtain as well. The Jacuzzi was dirty....when we turned on the jets some kind of "smudge" came out of them....the handle to the drain fell off....the Jacuzzi in our room was very small, it might work for one person but definitely not enough room for a couple to relax. There was no refrigerator in the room...I've had one in all other Holiday Inns I've stayed at. The alarm clock was not set and the "minute" button didn't work. We reserved a "couples getaway" package which included wine and a cheese tray delivered to the room.....these were not delivered at the time the front desk said they would be delivered. They were delivered about 45 minutes late. And to top it off, there was a cigarette lighter under the bed obvious sign that they had not been switched out prior to our stay. Way too much hype for this location and definitely not getting my moneys worth. June 26, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Reserved price not honored Myself and a friend reserved rooms for a wedding that unfortunately was cancelled. We decided to keep our rooms and enjoy an evening of dinner and dancing at JPatricks as well as use the pool for a night of some much needed R&R. The week before I received an email confirming my reservation but no mention that I would be charged full price not the price that I reserved at. Check in that day was very slow as there were only 2 people at the counter at 4 pm with a large group checking in. When we were charge the full price and questioned it the person checking us in said that he would check with the manager and let us know the out come. Never heard from him. When we complained at check out we were told that the price would be honored but in fact only a $20 discount was given. For the price paid I will not stay here again when there are much nicer hotels for less cost in the area. June 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very surprised Growing up in the area this hotel had a reputation of being a very nice place to stay. Being in town from CA and staying there I was very disgusted with the overall experience that I had. The only good thing that I saw was that the lobby and restaurant looked nice. Everything thing else was very poor. June 25, 2015
