Since the remodel this is the only hotel I stay at on the southeast side of Phoenix. Nice staff and rooms with good TV selection and a morning newspaper. The onsite lounge is a plus and breakfast is available. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Always stay at this Holiday Inn when I travel to Phoenix for business. Have also stayed at this hotel for leisure. I even purchased the pillows from our room. Great service, excellent food choices in the bar/lounge. Friendly bar/lounge staff.

Stayed one night passing through. It was quiet, clean, and private. The pool area is nice enough and quiet enough to enjoy for a night when traveling.
The staff was very polite. I live in LA. So everyone in the midwest seems polite.
Much better than I expected.

From being greeted when I first walked in, the front desk staff were courteous and friendly. The entire staff from hotel manager to housekeeping are friendly - says something about a company. My request for a room with a refrigerator and balcony was waiting for me when I arrived. The room was clean, the internet was a little slow in the evenings. The television channels were for the east coast - which was confusing.

Vending machines did not work and we were VERY thirsty for some water. Staff was great. I was locked out of my room and there was a staff member who called to front desk to confirm it was me and opened my door. This saved me alot of time and effort.

Asked for an upgrade and front desk staff kind of laughed at me. They said I had a reconditioned room and that was my upgrade. No soap. No shampoo. No bath mat. Restaurant and bar were empty and not appealing at all. This is definitely an older property and I won’t be back as there are better places in the area.

Poor Cleanliness on the room that they gime
I been in many Holiday"s around the country and never have this experince like this I know that this property is old but that has nothing to do witn the clenliness of the same.
frontdesk is rude and inpolity with costomers I take 1/2 hr to geat my room with only one costomer in front of me
I dont think i will be back there when I get back to phoneix next month

I've stayed at this property several times each time with different issues that make the stay challenging. The hotel is a older hotel, the rooms smell like people have smoked in them at some point not long ago.
The parking is atrocious with big trucks and "events" taking up most of the parking lot which is fairly small to begin with. The most recent trip, someones work truck was parked in such a way I couldn't get my car out of the space I was parked in, so much for wanting to join some friends for dinner. The desk clerk was super nice trying to find the owner of the truck who's a regular occupant of the hotel. Ended up not being able to go anyplace that evening, good thing I want looking to get to the airport. The place seems run down and not very well maintained, big gaps around fire doors, poor condition of paint and furnishings.

Rooms are clean and staff is very accommodating. However, the management of the hotel is remiss in follow-up, training and oversight.
1. Complimentary coffee service near the elevator at each floor. However, they don't check to see if it needs refilling or to tidy up the service area. Often times is completely out hours before the service is due to stop.
2. Towels for the pool are supposed to be available at the pool. However, on four successive days there were none. We asked the front desk and sometimes they replied: "We don't have any,"
3. Food service needs work. Pizza insert is a big deal om the menu for dinner. When we tried to order one we were told that there would be no pizza today. One morning no bagels were available. The food service is severely understaffed. They have several dirty tables at breakfast leaving nowhere to sit except in the bar. One waitress does the taking of orders and the delivery of food. They need a few more people. We asked for chocolate milk for our grandson and the assistant put two one gallon jugs on our table (she was new!…Really?). Sounds like lack of training.
4. One elevator only for the hotel. It is very slow and in the morning hours it is full of service people from housekeeping and maintenance on each trip up and down. They desperately need at least one more elevator that should be used for the staff only.
5. Pillows like rocks!

We have stayed at this location for several years and always find the staff and the rooms to be top quality. Had a problem this year with loud neighbors but chose to ignore the problem. I talked to the person handling security about the problem the next morning and he was very helpful. Overall a very good visit and we will gladly return to this location the next time we visit Phoenix.

Could my have been in a worse area. When the circle k attendant tells you to be careful around here because she sees you are from out of town you know you should be there. Many places to stay in Phoenix area. Choose a different hotel!!!!

I stayed here during NASCAR weekend with a showcar truck/trailer. Could not get in the parking lot one night (and it was raining to boot). Was told basically, sorry, it's NASCAR weekend, good luck. After about an hour and a half of driving around and calling etc I was able to park at another hotel and walk back to this one. Wasn't offered so much as a drink coupon or breakfast or whatever for my frustration. As a platinum points member, I was very disappointed and won't stay here again. The fact that I had called in advance, knowing it was going to be busy bothers me, I was told it shouldn't be a problem... guess what? Other than that, the food is good and the rooms are OK.

I was a little concerned when first pulling up - from the outside, the hotel looks a little dated / older. The lobby, although it also looks a bit dated from more than a few years ago, was in good repair and clean. VERY friendly staff, at the desk, in the lounge, and in the restaurant. Good meal, reasonably priced, and a clean fairly modern room (413). No complaints at all - and a recommended stay for a reasonable price.

The coffee machine was left dirty with previous guest leftovers. The towels were dirty and refolded (one with poop stain, another with dirty tissue in between fold). The carpet was so dirty my socks were filthy after walking on it. The AC unit was excessively noisy. This hotel needs a makeover for clean rooms and staff training for same.
The bar and restaurant were great although pricing seemed strange when billed compared to menu price (happy hour was to be $3 pints, billed at $6).
No, I will not be staying here again although I would consider the Inn next door for my next trip.

I was shooting a wedding reception at this Holiday Inn. They really treated the bride awesome. The only issue with this place is the elevator and no quick stair case to get from one floor to another. The elevator is very antiquated and the staff use it to travel the floors so it never stops.

Stayed here for 1 night and it was as good as to be expected. They have a neat little elevator that takes you up to your room with a back-wall, so you can see out over the lobby.
