Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by An overnight stay on the road An average stay in an outwardly imposing hotel. This holiday inn seemed geared to providing for the needs of larger groups rather than for individual travellers. No problems in locating hotel and front desk reception was helpful. Room was on end of wing and temperature was difficult to control and the water was not really hot. The oddest feature was that the restaurant closed at 8 p.m. as did the small bar, which only served beer. An untypical IHG experience. November 19, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful stay and very comfortable. Absolutely love this hotel. The atmosphere makes you feel as if you're home. The hot tub was great after a day of driving. I can't say enough about the hotel waitresses and the great breakfast. Overall this was one of the best stays I've had in Pigeon Forge. November 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Far less than expected The grounds and common areas look great but the guestroom did not meet our expectations. When we checked into the room, the room was hot and the air conditioner did not function properly. We were going out anyway so we informed the front desk before we left so that they could repair the air conditioner unit while we were gone. We returned to a room that was cooler but the air conditioner unit still did not seem to be functioning properly but we did not report again because it was late when we came in. As we got settled into the room we discovered some of the flaws. There were only three visible power receptacles in the room and I had to call the front desk and get an extension cord (and move the bed to plug it up) so we could connect up our stuff. Also the bathroom is in pretty rough shape with a shower that looked like it had been repaired many years ago and the repairs have since failed. Other than a few updates, I don't think the guest rooms have been properly renovated in over 30 years. They have been putting lipstick on this pig for a long time! I chose this property over others in the area partly because of the restaurant and the prospect of the breakfast buffet but was told this morning that the restaurant was open but there weren't enough registered guests to warrant the buffet. Given the choices here in Pigeon Forge, I will go somewhere else the next time. I have been a Holiday Inn brand customer for many years and have stayed at more properties than I can remember and can honestly say that the guestroom that they put me and my wife in this trip does not belong in a Holiday Inn property. My wife remarked to me as we left the guestroom that she felt like we had just stayed in a dump (of a hotel). November 15, 2014
