Room was ready and bag of "goodies" were ready when we arrived, since I am a priority club member. I do wish this place had a breakfast instead of an in house restaurant. Also in bathroom, several tiles where either broken or missing. Vanity in bathroom appeared to have been chewed on by a small dog. Also coffee supplies need to be changed out after every guest whether it is used or not, several layers of dust & soap residue was on coffee maker & supplies. November 23, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Fall Break! We could only get away for the weekend and we were so glad we chose this hotel. We had stayed there before and they still knock our socks off. The room was clean, quiet and comfy. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable of the area, helpful and wonderfully attentive to our needs. As super busy as the rest of the town was during our visit, the hotel itself was calm and peaceful. It almost seemed like we were the only people staying there. The pool was lovely. We would highly recommend this place and will stay there again in the future! November 20, 2012

They were not very nice and were argumentative about the rate we had been quoted,until finally I ask to speak to the manager. The manager was then able to figure it out and make it right. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mediocrity Arrived before 4pm check-in time on Nov 7th for a reserved suite. Lady behind the desk asked, "May I help you?". I said "yes" whereupon she continued to sort little brown envelopes for the next approximately 2 minutes. I asked why she would have asked me if she could help if she was not prepared to do so. Not a good start. This property seems very dated. There is a musty smell that is not offensive, but it is still noticeable. The attire of the guest reception people seem disheveled. Sort of gray colored smocks rather than a neat vest or jacket. Mattress was saggy in the middle and the pillows were like 1/2 size in dimension. I was told that these pillows were the new Holiday Inn standard pillow. They were not like the pillows, nor was the mattress like the mattress at the Holiday Inn Express in Cleveland, TN. This property has over 200 rooms and is more of a convention property. Did not use the restaurant, but it did not look all that inviting. One major imposition was the WiFi. Only managed a steady 1Kbps both ways. Signal strength was excellent. I called the desk and the person informed me that he/she was having the same problem with his/her cell phone. Slow data speeds. I think he was talking about his cellular network, not the WiFi at the hotel. At that time, I dropped the conversation. IMO, this property needs to be renovated extensively. It is not of the level of the newer Holiday Inn Express properties. I doubt we will stay at the Holiday Inn Pigeon Forge a second time. November 13, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY! My husband, daughter, and I stay here whenever we go on vacation in Pigeon Forge. We've never had a bad experience here, NEVER! Even though we did end up paying a higher bid this time for our stay than last year, our stay was still worth the money. We have always found the front desk staff to be very polite, professional, friendly, and helpful. The floor staff is also polite and willing to accommodate your needs for extra towels and such. I did notice a small amount of dust strings on our room ceiling in a few places this time but overall the rooms we have stayed in are very clean and look very nice. The entrance/check in area & bathrooms on lobby floor always look gorgeous! Although we have never used the pool because we keep forgetting our suits, it always looks very clean, well kept, and inviting. We plan to make sure we have suits for next years stay! Liked that there were 2 beds in the handicapped room, The only negative was the dining room...nice facilities and the waitresses were most helpful and efficent...it was the quality of the food that was lacking. The front desk staff is always very helpful to help you find what you are looking for. Make sure to try the breakfast at the Hotel Restaurant, not included in all rates; however it is as reasonably as priced as other restaurants in the area for breakfast, plus it's a buffet. Hotel is conveniently located to a lot of attractions and fun things to do in the area on the Parkway. October 25, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Need New Beds We have stayed recently 2x in the past month. First had double beds and they were very worn. Then tried the second time a king bed and it too needs to be changed. The cleaning in the king bedroom on first floor needed to be improved. The carpet was worn and dirty, dirt in areas in bathroom. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Parking lot security light The security light in the parking light was shinning brightly through curtains all night. Unless I somehow missed them, the heavier curtains were for decorative reasons only. The sheer pulled curtains were not enough to keep light from shinning directly in face of sleeper. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and room We spent 3 nights and enjoyed our room a great deal. We had a refrigerator and microwave, and the bed was so comfortable, that I actually slept the entire night through without waking - which is very unusual for me. I felt very rested. It is a beautiful hotel and the staff was very friendly. The only thing I could say was the windows hadn't been washed on the outside for a long time considering the amount of dirt build up. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by damaged tub, peeling wallpaper,vent fan not working The hotel is in a beautiful area but the room we were in did not meet normal Holiday Inn standards. The bathroom fan did not work, the tub had several areas where the finish was gone and metal was showing, wall paper was peeling off, the general appearance of the room was inferior. I will say the staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly. October 10, 2012
