Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed We chose to stay at Holiday Inn because we have never had to worry about the room being great, until now. The rooms at this location are in terrible need of remodeling. There is no ventilation in the bathrooms and they are in terrible shape. The wood on the doors is peeling off. The plaster on the ceiling in the bathroom was cracked and falling down. The bathtubs are old and need replaced. The wallpaper is old and coming unglued. The control button on the air conditioner was broken. Overall we were not happy with our stay, this hotel does not measure up to the Holiday Inn reputation. November 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hot water and warm bed Was looking for a getaway weekend to just relax and hike up to the top of LeConte. The hot tube's water was hot and with some epsom salt relaxing. I have issues sleeping, but slept through the night in the King size bed. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. November 6, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LOCATION,LOCATION The lobby and hallways on each floor were great. The indoor pool area was really nice and had several video games. The breakfast buffet was really good except for the breakfast potatoes. If your going to offer an item that everyone will like, then leave out the red and green peppers and the onions. No need to be fancy with a regular breakfast buffet. The bathroom needed to be remodeled since the bathtub had several patches and had a general abused appearance. But...you can't beat the location. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing and pleasant stay We appreciated the ease of our walk-in check in as our stay was a last minute travel decision. We very much enjoyed the comfortable conversation seating areas which were located throughout the hotel. As we were traveling with another couple this gave us a place to sit, relax, have a cup of coffee and chat after a long day of traveling. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean with the bathroom having any items we may have had need of. I especially enjoyed being able to have coffee in my room. It seemed that the hotel staff had tried to provide the things that made their guest stay comfort and enjoyable. Out check in and out was convenient and easy. Our breakfast in the restaurant was tasty and the service was very good. We didn't use the pool but observed many families with their children enjoying themselves in the hotels enclosed pool. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not exactly what I wanted I am a Platium Elite and made reservations over a month in advance and asked for an upgrade to a King Deluxe room. I callled front desk at that time and was told that it would not be an issue. Upon arrival, I was told that the only rooms available for upgrade was on the 3rd and 4th floors. My wife has a mdeical condition that prevents us from staying at properties that can't provide rooms on the first or second floor. The bottom line is the person I dealt with when the reservation was made did not put the notes I asked for on my reservations. We stayed in a regular King room and it was alright but paint peeling off the ceiling in the bath was not very appealing. This is a OLD property that needs updating. Next time I will stay at a Holiday Inn Express. Very disappointed for my 60th Birthday weekend In Pigeon Forge. I did have the desk person say she was sorry that somone did not do their job. I do thank her for trying to work with me under such an underwhelming experience. October 30, 2014

In today's world, most people have cell phones that they prefer to have on the bedside table at night, not across the room charging. October 30, 2014

The room(s) were perfect for what we needed. One of my daughter's had a birthday while we were there, and the staff surprised her with balloons and a small gift. This was arranged prior to our arrival and the staff went out of their way to find out what my child's interests were and then bought her a few small things pertaining to this. October 22, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Overpriced and dirty My family and I went to Pigeon Forge for an impromptu vacay. I spent over an hour researching our options for hotels and settled on Holiday Inn because I assumed it was worth it to pay more, if it meant a clean and comfortable stay. Although the reviews led me to believe I had chosen wisely, I quickly found they weren't accurate. The manager that greeted us was far from friendly, but I figured that was due to how busy the area was. The lobby was gorgeous, but the rooms were not. Not only did our room smell like someone had been smoking, but the room was furnished with 2 Full size beds that were far from comfortable. To top it off, the air unit wasn't coming on, so with no way to open a window, the air was stale and stinky. Both my son and I started coughing that night due to the mold and mildew in the bathrooms. I got a total of 2-3 hours of sleep and wasn't in the mood to do much the next day due to the lack of sleep. Everything felt greasy and the bathroom had random hairs everywhere. When I complained the next morning, the staff's only response was to pay for our $9 breakfast. Overall, we were disappointed and quickly found a hotel a few blocks down, that was half the price and 3 times the comfort and cleanliness with a staff that seemed to welcome our business. Sorry Holiday Inn, you've lost my business and I travel a lot. October 11, 2014
