Property is getting old and in need of upgrading. Restaurant is understaffed in the AM. Waited close to 10 minutes to even be approached. Same for a number of other customers. Server brought me coffee and said it would be a while before she could take my order because of other customers and room service! Mentioned it to the front desk and was told they were aware that there were problems that day and the previous day! Stayed at this property several times over the past 5 years and it has always been a problem.

I've stayed here many times and this last visit was the best. The hotel has definitely cleaned up and the staff is very nice. My room was clean and had a new flat screen. Always a plus. I had some drinks at the bar along with a steak dinner and everything was great. I will be back again soon and look forward to the pool being open.

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable about the surrounding area. My room was clean and the breakfast at the hotel was great. My service was great and the food was fast. I have no complaints about this hotel.

started at check-in messed up reservations never got better. Had to stay in a handicap room. Manager tried to make it better but only gave us breakfast coupons for issues. Wait staff at breakfast was slow. nlikely I would stay here again. Unlikely I will ever see my points.

We asked for coffee, towels and soap every day we were there. A staff member left note on table next to our bed stating "SOAP, COFFEE, TOWELS AND RAGS.At the bottom of note she drew a smiley face with the tongue sticking out. This was reported to front desk and a gentleman came up stating he was the manager, along with him was the housekeeping supervisor and the lady who had written the note. He stated his name was Raheem and would not give me his last name. He handled this situation in a very unprofessional manner. I suspect that he was not a supervisor. Check my record I've stayed at this same Holiday Inn many times and have always been pleased with all. But, I will never stay at this Holiday Inn again .I had planed to stay several days but, after this ordeal I didn't even feel safe and checked out early.

My wife and I had a very good weekend stay, the front desk staff was very friendly especially Dave, the room was very nice and clean. The price was very reasonable compared to hotels in city, and the drive to downtown Pittsburgh was a easy 15 minutes even on a Monday morning.

The room's security latch was broken. The screws were out on the entire latch and detached from the wall. A staff member knocked (2 quick knocks without waiting for an answer) when I had to tell the to stop opening the door. She apologized thinking no one was in the room (either poor communication, couldn't have been bothered to check on the room's status), and I asked her to return tomorrow during the day. When I returned the next day after leaving the room, there was a new latch with the old latch on the floor. No one bothered to pick it up.

I stayed two nights and each night ate the bar, in the lounge.
Both nights I ordered a different salad with different chicken, with "Dressing on the Side", both nights I got salad drenched with dressing and dressing on the side. I should have sent the salads back but ate what I could just to eat. It's hard enough eating healthy on the road and this experience made it more difficult. Both nights I made sure I had the bartenders attention and repeated "dressing on the side" and they just didn't listen.
I will think long and hard about eating at this hotel again.

Location = Perfect
Check in= Difficult and I asled for my points balance and was never given it, and I satyed tere 3 weeks in a row? I still feel as if my points were not credited to my priority clun rewards inmy name? I was never told yes we are 100% sure they were?? I m still waiting???????? This is important to me. The HotelBar is VERY expenseive, My team stayd there 3 weeks in a row and we spent at the ver yleast $2500 @ teh Bar and were never offered an appetizer, free drink, snacks, etc, etc????? I would like for someone to inform me of my points balance as this is extremely important to m as a traveler and I ALWAYS do my best t book either a Hiliday Inn Express, or Holiday Inn. We also had as many as 15 rooms occupied the first eek of our stay April 8-12th, and was tol that the points would b credited to me, the 2nd week we had 6 rooms booked and 3rd week 7 rooms booked.

I went Pittsburgh April 11 - 14 to the Frozen Four Finals. I didn't want to rent a car because I thought it would be easier to take a taxi to Consol Energy Center and use the Holiday Inn shuttle to and from the airport. I called this hotel ahead of time and ask did they have an airport shuttle. The clerk said yes. When I arrived at the airport I call this hotel as ask where is the shuttle. They said we don’t have one. I took a taxi that cost $60. Then when I want to go to Consol Energy the clerk informed me that taxi don’t come to this hotel. On game day I waited and hour and half along with four other people for a taxi.
I ask the front desk why don’t you say that on your web site or explain that to your customers, that you don’t have shuttle service and that taxi don’t come to this hotel?
I don’t recommend this hotel. It’s isolated up on a hill. The restaurants in the area are all fast foods. The front desk is lazy and weren’t much help.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 Friday night. The smoke detector went off in the room next to ours 3 times. At 12:30AM we called the desk for the third time. They did get it to stop somehow. Also, my wife has allergies. The only soap in the bath room was an orange smelling soap and she can not use this. We asked the desk for soap with no smell. They informed us they had none. We went out to a local store on our own and bought soap. We will not stay here ever again.

I recently spent four nights at the McKnight Road Holiday Inn as my husband was having cancer surgery at Passavant Hospital. The accommodations as well as the location were great! Everyone was the come-to-be-expected-in-Pittsburgh courteous and helpful. I am a bit prejudiced, but it's not like this any where else! I am a Pgh. native who has lived and traveled all over, and I can honestly say, "There's no place like home!" Thanks for making my stay a good one.

The bathroom had not been cleaned other than fresh towels, the toilet was dirty, the mirror had toothpast splatters. The mouth wash had been used and not replaced same as the shampoo. The bartender was missing for over 8 mins. One guest had her room burglarized the same day. I complained to night desk manager as well as am desk clerk, the GM has NOT called me nor emailed for my comments.

After a family funeral, 13 of us gathered in the restaurant on a Sunday morning to continue celebrating the life of our beloved mother and grandmother, Your staff had set the table for us and took care of us pleasantly and efficiently. The atmosphere couldn't have been more perfect for us. And because check-out wasn't until noon, we did not have to rush to get our luggage out of the room.

I stay here 2 days a week every week for over a year now. The staff is very friendly, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I have recently brought a couple co-workers with me and they have had similar experiences here as i have had. Rooms are always clean and ready for me to relax. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay no matter how long or short.

This property is under new management and is making phenominal strides in the right direction. The front desk personnel is very nice and bend over backwards to assist guests. The bar/restaurant personnel are very nice as well and super accomodating. To top it off, the Chefs typically make rounds for dinner to ensure that the guests are enjoying their meals. Lastly, the hotel manager, Joey, is actually seen greating guests.
This hotel is on its way back up!!!!

We just stayed at your Holiday Inn. It is a great location for anything in the North Hills or Pittsburgh.We had a very good experience.
The only small problem with the room was trying to figure out the heater, but eventually we did.
But what was GREAT about the hotel was the people who work there !!!!
Jen and Deborah at the front desk upon arrival were very helpful !
The man at check-out ( didn't get his name )was also very helpful with directions and offering help to clean the ice on my car.
We had a Birthday get together for my Mom's Birthday and Jen and Crista were very helpful in organizing it.
Leslie in the Bar/Restaurant went above and beyond in making everything turn out great ! You should let her know that she is an assest to the hotel and has great customer service !!!

Made reservation here to check out hotel, as I come to Pittsburg every month for business and stay at the Crowne Plaza, but the traffic to get to that area is too much. Anyways, checked out the reviews after making reservation and was then a bit nervous about my stay, but went anyways. Justin was there when I checked in and was wonderful and assured me my stay would be great! He was right. Everyone was very nice, the room was clean and nice and I was not bothered at all. I would love to make this my new home in Pittsburgh, will be calling the manager, Joey. Thanks Justin, for great customer service!

I experienced great service at this hotel. I had a horrible past few months, and staying here was just the comfort i was looking for. I want to especially mention Justin, he was the front desk guy, i think he was the manager, if not then he should be. He was so polite, comforting, and accommodating. He, as well as the rest of the staff, makes me want to stay there again.

The toilet constantly needed to be opened at the top to close the flap in order for the water to flow into the container and remain there. We reported this at checkout.
All evening long every now and then we heard water rushing through pipes somewhere through the walls of the bathroom. This was qaite loud and annoying. There was no water runnning in the room; it was only heard through the walls.

Upon arrival, there was someone else checking in. This person needed more time than usual and Debra, the front desk associate, made sure to tell me several times that she would get to me as soon as she could. As soon as that check-in was completed, Debra apologized for the delay, recognized me as a priority club member and checked me in with information that had been prepared ahead of time. Debra was exceptionally pleasant and positive and smiled constantly, something that is often missing from the many hotels I frequent. This was the most valuable part of my check-in. Debra proceeded to instruct me on my priority club perk options and pointed out how the pick-an-option was unique to this property. She offered assistance in making my stay pleasant. I asked for a breakfast menu and although one was not available at the front desk, Debra went to the restaurant and got one for me. Upon arrival in my room, I noticed that although all of the other amenities were there, there was no soap. I went down to the front desk and Debra was more than happy to get me some but there was none in the back so she went the extra mile and called housekeeping and soap was delivered to my room within minutes. Upon check-out, I ask about the location of a near-by restaurant and although the associate did not know personally, he offered to look it up on the internet and print out the directions. I asked to speak to the manager so that I could communicate the excellent service and the manager brought me into his office for a personal experience rather than discussing things with me in the lobby. This hotel understands what customer service means.
