Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK if not spending much time at the hotel All rooms are off an exterior hallway, therefore, if you want natural light in your room your curtains will be open to people walking by in the hallway. The outdoor pool is a nice addition. This is a good place to stay if you don't want to spend a lot of money and won't be spending a lot of time in the hotel room. August 18, 2015

They provided a wheel chair for my mother and helped me book an additional room for extra guests. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a nice room at a fair price. August 13, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by . I stayed at the Holiday Inn Plainview-Long Island I was not Very happy The sheets was not clean there comforter has lip stick on them the sheets a stains. I walked out the room to use my cell phone and some guy keep walking around the hotel while I am on the phone, So i went out side and there he was every 10 mins he was walking around as if I was going to do something. I am going to guess he was a work that works for the hotel he was dressed in all black. August 11, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel but loyalty unrewarded. The Holiday Inn Long Island - where loyalty goes to die. All kidding aside, this is a nice hotel but they fail miserably in recognizing members of their loyalty program. The check-in process was very rushed and impersonal. The agent failed to recognize my status (Spire Royal Ambassador) with IHG, didn't offer any of the published amenities, and made me feel like a beggar when I inquired. If I'm required to stay 75 nights per year just to attain the status, I don't think taking 10 seconds to recognize it is a lot to ask. Ok, rant over. This hotel won some sort of renovation award back in 2012. I guess I can see that. The lobby is grand; very bright and spacious. The hotel restaurant and bar right off the lobby looked nice, and was offering some specials. There was an outdoor pool which looked very well maintained and very refreshing. I probably would have gone for a dip if I had the time. The hallways and rooms are nice. Updated and clean. Just a few notes/complaints. The bathroom faucets are extremely loud. I was woken from a sound sleep when my neighbor turned theirs on. Same thing when the doors slam shut throughout the night and morning. Another thing to note is the mini-fridge. Don't put it on the max cold setting or everything will freeze. If I was back in the area I'd probably stay here again. There are some issues but all in all it's one of the better Holiday Inn properties. August 7, 2015
