I have been to the Holiday Inn @ Plattsburgh twice- once for 4 nights and then for a weekend. The beds are soooo comfortable that you don't want to get out of bed, my boys love the pool and I enjoy the hot tub, and we all enjoy the darts and pool table! My son is in college up there and from now on, HI is the only place I will stay.

Restaurant was closed Sunday evening, so I went to the bar to get spare ribs. It was cooked in the microwave! Could not cut it! Then they gave me a steak and it was horrible. Went to bed hungry becaus that was a much better choice.

From the time we walked into the hotel, and were greeted, and offered warm cookies from Dianne, until we left the next day, this property offered second to none hospitality. The first person you meet sets the tone, and Dianne was welcoming, and hospitable. Kudos to Dianne, and to this property for hiring her!! Good move!
The room was clean, comfortable, nice towels (not always the case!), and the bed was so comfortable we did not want to even think about getting out of it in the morning. Breakfast was good, but heavy on the carbs, and the one use glasses and cutlery are no longer acceptable, but the person "hosting" was warm and polite, and helpful. What can I say? I have stayed at lots of hotels, and this one was THE BEST!! Great job. Thank you for a most comfortable night, during a snow storm.
And almost forgot -- the pool and hot tub were great too!

Heat in room was difficult to control and heater emitted a foul odor which resulted in having to turn the unit off. Was unable to get a restful nights sleep - pillows were too small.

We booked a room with a hot-tub and weren't disappointed. Very relaxing week-end. Comfortable bed and a choice of pillows.
Good variety for breakfast but missed the make your own waffles that many other hotels have.
Nice size pool but a couple of degrees warmer (no more than that) would have been better.
Very friendly staff.
Could hear the room next door and some other plumbing, but nothing too serious.
Great location for shopping.
Wil defintely return for another visit.

We were very happy with check in and cleanliness of the room. Almost everybody was help full. I did not give overall experience 5 stars because our breakfast experience was a lot less than great . We went in for breakfast and asked one of the girls how to go about either ordering or eating from the buffet. She acted like it was a major inconvenience to have to do her job. 3 girls were standing around FINALLY the one who could barley answer our question came over to take our order. She brought out our plates ( omelets were wonderful ) with no silverware my husband went to the buffet and got plastic. Not 5 minutes later the next table got served by the same person and got a cloth napkin and regular silverware .. Overall we were very happy with our satay and would go back again.
