Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Another good business trip Overall a very good stay. Had some troubles in the room but was relocated to another guest room and all good after that. Staff are more like friends and are always attentive. Breakfast has improved BUT unfortunately it still seems to be the norm that the bacon is only cooked on one side - very strange?? July 2, 2015

We stay frequently in this hotel which is enjoying a physical upgrade to the communal spaces, which will be finished quite soon, and enhance further this otherwise slightly out of date hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 3rd visit in a month on work I have recently spent 3 weeks of the month of June at this hotel. The Wifi was poor during my first visit but by my last visit it definitely improved, having been informed that they were planning an upgrade, although having to log in everyday is a bit annoying. The staff are always really accommodating and are a credit to the hotel. I think the thing that made the difference is the rooms. Some of the rooms have integrated air conditioning, while others have air conditioning units/fans attached to the far wall. The rooms with integrated air conditioning are superior and tend to have better irons, ironing boards etc. than the other rooms. Overall the hotel is undergoing a spruce up and I am led to believe that this includes the rooms. I accept that there are a few areas for improvement, but it is good to notice that the hotel management have noticed this and acted upon it. June 30, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall appearance Whilst the staff make you very welcome and the service is good, it is quickly obvious that much of the hotel has seen better days. The room that I occupied whilst clean was pretty tired (exhausted in fact). If you are to continue to attract customers a bit of tender loving care and investment is required. June 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Normal good stay Holiday Inn Plymouth is my first choice of hotel in the city. On this occasion it was undergoing upgrading in the foyer which was explained on my arrival. This had little impact on my stay. Unfortunately the cost was considerably higher than normal presumably because it was early summer, but as a regular visitor I found this disappointing. Two things which could be improved: 1. Pillows - the inclusion of a feather option in the pillow menu would save me having to carry my own with me! 2. The ability to open the window would be great for those of us who like to sleep with fresh air. I am sure a device could be fitted to limit the opening and comply with health and safety. As usual the room was clean, bed very comfortable and staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. Another enjoyable stay June 29, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worthy of a Holiday Inn This is a terrible Hotel and does not deserve to call itself a Holiday Inn. The beds were worn out and uncomfortable,bathroom was terrible,room was dirty, service virtually non existent. As a Platinum Elite member the only acknowledgement received was free internet!!!
