Nothing was too much trouble and we enjoyed a very relaxing stay, albeit only overnight and will definitely stay here again when visiting Plymouth. January 23, 2015

Staff very friendly & helpful. Welcomed as a Platinum Elite Rewards Club member & room upgraded - thank you. Breakfast all OK; usual Holiday Inn fayre. Not east to find hotel re: Plymouth City Centre but OK. Bar area OK but internal within the hotel... so no views outside. January 21, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location Checked in to Hotel as a platinum member, room on the 9th floor. Unfortunately I was ill and just needed to sleep. There was a lot of noise from the floor above, so after a few hours of being woken up I asked to move to another room. Room was on a lower floor, better decor and no noise. Breakfast the next morning looked great, but still feeling ill I just had tea and toast which made it an expensive cup of tea with a slice of toast. Didn't get to use the pool, but staying again soon, so hopefully will next time. January 20, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel for our two day break. The Hotel is in a good position for Hoe and Shops. Useful and reasonable price car park. Nice pool & steam room, sauna out of order, change room chilly. Nice Bar and restaurant. As usual Hotel beer prices drove us out to pub next door. I shall never understand why hotels do this???? Nice breakfasts both days taste dinner in the evening. All staff very good. Wind was strong and rattled the room windows. The restaurant windows steamed over so spoiled the view. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel and great location The hotel is convenient being so close to the City Centre but its proximity to the Hoe make is a bit more special. The view from the dining room of the top floor is definitely worthwhile. Otherwise the hotel is comfortable and staff friendly. The only down side is the room heating system which take a bit of fiddling to master. January 16, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by New Year Gala Ball 2014 We came again this year after having a good time last year. Booked to stay for the night and also for the gala ball. When we looked at the menu we noticed that there was only 1 choice of starter a fish terrine which neither of us liked. I phoned the hotel and asked of we could possibly have soup instead but was offered melon which we also do not eat, the lady I spoke to was helpful and said she would speak to the chef but would have to ring me back in a few hours as they were in the middle of service which was fine. 3 days later and still no phone call I rang again this time I spoke to Ben who was great, within a couple minutes he had sorted us out with a soup starter, great customer service. We checked in on new years eve with no fuss and quickly settled i, the room was fine clean January 13, 2015
