Although this hotel is beautifully decorated, I felt like the decor was all I was paying for.
The general price is too high for a hotel in this area, but if I get exceptional service and have a great stay, I don't mind paying higher prices.
However, there was a hole in the wall, the phone didn't work and the handle on the cold water faucet was broken. Those issues show a real lack of care for the property, which means that the "newness" of the hotel will fade quickly and the quality of the location will deteriate fast.
The staff's service was fine, but not exceptional, and if I am paying exuberant prices for a hotel, I exspect something free when I check in, like a bottle of water or a snack like many other hotels.
When we couldn't order room service because the phone was broken, we went to the resturaunt for breakfast. The waitress was pleasant, but tried to encourage us to eat off of the buffet. My wifre really wanted the stuffed French Toast, so she ordered that and it took over 30 min. for her to get the food. We were the only people in the returaunt. It should not take that long for that item to be prepared & if it does, that means that there is little efficency in the kitchen.
I'm not remotely impressed with this location. If the price of the room had been $30 cheaper a night, I probably wouldn't have had such high exspectiontions, but if you're going to talk the talk, then walk the walk. Step it up IHG.

My wife and I stayed at this location as we visited the 8th AF Museum down the street. This facility was excellent as the staff was friendly and courteous and the room was very comfortable. We ate dinner at the restaurant on-site and were impressed by the food preparation and amount of portions. I highly recommend this location.
