The hotel and rooms were nice, having been recently remodeled, but I'm not sure I will be back, because the service from the restaurant was awful. I understand they are owned and managed separately, but it is connected to the hotel, so the service reflects on Holiday Inn.
I ordered room service during the evening and was charged a traditional 18% service fee, but also a $5 delivery fee. This was not disclosed on the menu that was in my room nor when I called to place the order.
Since I am an IHG member, I received a coupon for a free breakfast, as did the two individuals traveling with me. We were able to select from a very limited menu, and I was told no substitutions were allowed so I had to pay an additional $3 for a side of fruit. The order took about 20 minutes to receive, despite the restaurant not being busy, and I received my bill before I got my food (generally a faux pas in the restaurant business). The two individuals traveling with me arrived at the restaurant shortly after I had placed my order. It took the server 15 minutes before she took their order, at which time I explained we needed to be leaving in about 10 minutes so I hoped their food would be delivered more quickly than mine and it would need to be "to go". She did not acknowledge this request one way or the other, but we decided to take our chances. After 20 minutes (already being late for a business meeting), the server had not acknowledge us at all, so we left without any food. I travel frequently, which includes patronizing many restaurants, and I have never received this poor of service.

We had a great time and stay in this hotel. The room was very clean and well maintained during our stay. Castello's was delicious!!

The check in staff was extremely helpful. The restaurant was outstanding. The trip was extremely fast but the staff made our short stay as nice as it could possibly be.
They helped with ordering flowers; check out time and whatever we needed.

We recently stayed four nights at this property. My Mom was ill and died in the midst of this stay she died (she was in a nursing home nearby). The employees were helpful, especially Derek at the front desk, in working with us on continuing reservations, letting us late checkout, etc. and it was much appreciated. We were staying on IHG points, and were given a nice oversized King room.
The only improvement I can think of is that I needed to access Google docs on their Business Center computer (they only had one). The browsers on the machine, Internet Explorer and Firefox, were both old versions of the software, old enough that they would not open my Google Docs. I only had my iphone and ipad with me, and really needed to access those docs. Please update your browsers, and consider adding Google Chrome browser.
Thanks for everything else...I'd stay again, anytime here!

Came in from a hot day outdoors to a cool, clean, comfortable and spacious room. The room lacked nothing. My only criticism is the awkwardness of opening the bathroom door into the entry hall. That should have been designed better. Nice quiet room and good comfortable bed.

This Hotel is the go to place in Poplar Bluff and has been going through an update... All Guest rooms are finished and they are GREAT!!!!! some common areas still waiting to be completed and brought up to the new standard set by the rooms.....
Still the best, location and hotel in the "Bluff"
