Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible pillows/poor check-out attitude/zero cust sv a_ Pillows are so poor in comfort that I did not sleep, requiring taking naps in vehicle on way to destination. b) Customer service attitude of the male check-out clerk was atrocious; worst I've experienced in over 10 years and I travel weekly. c) Be nice if the hairs in the bathtub could be removed prior to the next guest using it... d) The breakfast voucher program in the adjoining restaurant is confusing compared to competitive chains in same grade. e) The service attitude and the quality of the breakfast ordered was excellent. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The housekeeping staff was nice and did a great job everyday of cleaning our room. August 17, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Service needs improvement Room was obviously not cleaned thoroughly daily. I was in this hotel for 11 days and there were signs every day that the housekeeping was poor. I stay in hotels across the country frequently and for the price of this hotel the quality and cleanliness is poor. Also I dropped some clothes off on Thursday August 7th to be sent out for laundering the following day. When I stopped by the front desk on Friday August 8th around 8:00 pm the lady at the front desk said the clothes did not get picked up and was in no way helpful in trying to resolve the issue of me not having any clean clothes for the following week. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A Working TV would have been nice. This hotel was pretty good except that the TV, which ran through a cable box, did not get any reception. We contacted the front desk and were told that a lot of the TV/cable boxes were not working and that he would add our room to the list of those the maintenance man would check on that evening. No one ever came to the room to fix the TV and it was still non-functioning the next morning prior to checkout. No adjustment to the room rate was offered for compensation. We will stay elsewhere next time. August 12, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Huge Room, extremely friendly, no breakfast or WIFI This is an excellent facility. The room was the best I've ever had during travels. The staff was also exceptional. Very very nice hotel. Housekeeping was superb and extremely nice as was the front desk. Maintenence replaced the blow dryer in our room the first morning within 5 minutes of our call - couldn't ask for anything more. Now the only issues: There is no breakfast at this hotel, not even a donut ... for the price, this is extremely inconvient for such a nice place that you really aren't ready to rush out of especially went when muliple people in the room are trying to get ready in the mornings, going downstairs for breakfast would be great - but I did know this before I booked, however the 'restrauant' attached to the hotel, took 2 hours to serve a breakfast to our other 5 friends who were also at the hotel with us ... we left, ate, and arrived at our destination in town and they were calling each morning still waiting to be served! Don't count on the restrauant attached, horrible. AND after staying 4 days, not once did we ever get a WIFI connection. Very disappointed in that too, but otherwise this is a fabulous choice. I will stay again, but would really appreicate at least a continetial breakfast and definately working WIFI, there's no reason in not having these two things at the price charged. August 6, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Room The Holiday Inn rooms we booked were clean and the water pressure in the shower was great|! Loved the choice of pillows, too. It would be nice if they added a small table with chairs so you could play a game with kids. We did use the restaurant for dinner one night and enjoyed our meal but I would have like the free breakfast many hotels now offer. July 22, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Smoke and Mattresses The elevators and hallway of this building reeked of cigarette smoke. The attempt to cover it with Fre breeze was laughable. I mentioned it to the staff when I left for dinner and upon our return could barely breathe from the spray they used. The smoking rooms are on the same floor as the non smoking with no barriers. The mattress in the room was so old that we woke up with back pain. Avoid this place if breathing and sleeping are important. July 17, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible beds The beds were very hard, it was like sleeping on a concrete floor. The restaurant food was overpriced for the amount and quality of food. The restaurant staff was rude and did not wait on the tables like they should. The plus for this hotel was that the hotel staff was nice and attentive and the indoor pool and hot tub was relaxing. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Staff! Work requires us to be out of town sometimes, and this past stay was one of these times. We live up in St. Louis right now, so its a good 3-4 hours away. We were too tired to drive home after working, and had not finished all the work in the area, so decided to stay at the holiday inn in poplar bluff, MO. The staff was exceedingly friendly and very personable. There was no problem getting a room with a good rate (military discount from my husband even, after they had seen his military ID when he was reaching for his drivers license). We ended up staying 2 nights. Couldn't have asked for more friendlier or courteous staff!! July 5, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent We were extremely tired from our long drive from SC. and got to the motel early evening. The gentleman at the desk was so kind and helpful. He got us in our room quick although he did not activate the key cards and I did have to go back to the desk to get them activated. Since we were club members we were able to get a free made to order breakfast in the dining room. Also a discount for our dinner meal which was very good. The room was huge and well appointed. I wish we could have stayed longer just to enjoy the lovely room. If ever in that area again I know where to stay. June 17, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Property not kept up very nicely since it was built I used to stay here when the hotel was new and liked it very much. I just stayed there for the first time in 9 years and the maintenance of the hotel is questionable. I had a whirlpool suite and the carpet and furniture was extremely stained and dirty, there was rust around the ceiling light trim ring, window trim was broken. In the bathroom all the water drains slowly which has been always been that way. The restaurant is so empty they closed 20 minutes early, then the remote batteries to the TV were completely dead and it did not work. June 10, 2014
