However on this stay I did not receive the room booked and was not offered a the breakfast voucher that I should have received and paid the additional $10 to obtain with my on-line reservation. Upon checking I was advised that the king bed room was not available. My fault that I did not ask about the breakfast voucher but upon check out the male and female front desk representatives acted with total indifference about the room availability and no breakfast voucher. In fact, they said absolutely nothing and handed me my receipt. Also the room was way overpriced. In the future I will check other lodging locations when in the area on business. October 7, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by clean room and bathroom, but didn't like exterior door and dinner Nice overall hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was great! I didn't like that as a rewards member I was put in a room that had an exterior door directly to the parking lot. I should have went back to reception and requested a room with an interior door. Room service was great, but the food was not of high quality and not worth the price paid. I would stay here again with an interior room. I also would recommend this hotel to other travelers to the Port Arthur area. September 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Service was Great! My siblings and I planned our parents 50th wedding anniversary at the Holiday Inn Park Central this pass weekend (Aug 16th). We started planning in March of this year with the coordinator Ms. Judy. I was doing most of the communication from Houston. I just want to say from the time I started with her to the end of the event she was GREAT! I have planned many events in Houston for my place of employment but never had the type of service I had in Port Arthur. I made several changes and request at the last minute and Ms. Judy just made it happen. She was very nice and always checked up to make sure everything was going well with the event planning . She was not feeling well the day before but made sure my last request was met. She was really sick the night of the event but came and made sure everything was running smooth. She ended up serving my parents and made sure they were enjoying themselves. The two ladies assigned to the event that day was very very helpful and nice. The event was a successful and we could not have done it without Ms. Judy and the ladies assigned to serve us that night. JOB Well Done. My family and guest was so impressed. The buffet was delicious. We received so many complements about the roasted beef and stuff chicken. Please tell the chef know it was great. Thanks for everything , Cynthia August 19, 2014

I arrived late and departed very early but was always met with a polite courteous and helpful staff. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overall nice location The room was well lit, the bed was hard. The housekeeper gave me the extra towels that we needed. The food was good, we had "free" breakfast and enjoyed the dining room for dinner. Was disappointed it wasn't opened for lunch though. Only problem I had was at the front desk. It is never good when the staff wants to argue with you about what you paid for. August 12, 2014

I was only passing through and just needed a place to sleep for the night but was impressed with everything about the hotel. Very nice upscale room and comfortable bed. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Surprised but Happy Being from the area I was surprised at how updated the hotel was compared to a well-known hotel in Beaumont. I was impressed by how many benefits were available but disappointed in myself for not using them. The only negative was the odor in the room. I know the humidity can cause this in hotels but it was rather strong and I did not report it as I was out of the hotel more than in the hotel. Guest check-in experience was great! Guest check-out experience seemed to be a bother for the young lady but maybe she was just having a bad day. June 23, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by VERY BAD EMPLOYEES This is the very worst Hiliday Inn i have stayed at. When we arrived the lady at the dest was very rude never smiled and made us feel very UNWELLCOME. We were at the Pool area and found that there were 5 kids running around being very loud and they were an employees kidds THIS IS VERY BADDD. ALL AROUND VERY BAD. May 22, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Needs some updating Unit has that smell and feel of an older hotel. I think it is a bit stale inside, possibly due to no ventilation in the bathroom. Room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable. Staff was nice and although I did not use them the restaurant and bar looked nice. Biggest complaint was that the WI-FI was horrible. Dont even plan on using it. May 6, 2014
