Having stayed in this hotel many times over the past 20 years I think I know it well. The main hotel building is somewhat a tired horse these days but staff and service is friendly enough. The meals have taken on a bit of a better flavor but still manage to taste more like mass produced than intended for one.
My biggest hate is that this hotel is one of a few in Port Moresby which has a certain level of comfort both in the services and security. Yet the price paid is so over the top for an underwhelming experience. There is no value for money when the price you pay is for seven stars and you are lucky to get three - consistently.
It is not the service that needs attention but the huge cost of a very average room. I constantly pay a quarter of the price for much better elsewhere. It leaves that foul taste in your mouth, even after having desert.

Travelling for business, hotel is pretty well equiped, staff are friendly, place feels secure. gym has new equipment and squash courts. food can be hit/miss and is pricey compared to AU, however pretty good all round for a PNG Hotel.

The room that I stayed in does not reflect the quality of rooms that I'm used to staying at Holiday Inns elsewhere
