Everything was excellent and always is, the only downside to any of my visits to the Holiday Inn Port Moresby is the lack of adequate parking spaces, there are never enough spaces anytime I stay, and the people that do park should park properly, if this happened you could fit more vehicles into the small parking area, but this needs to be managed correctly and more space found for parking.

It is the team spirit and can-do attitude from the moment you arrive made this stay so good. The hotel is undergoing renovations and access is a bit difficult, but the location is out of the city but close to commercial offices and the new vision city. And...great pillows and beds!
(note: remember, there are many restraints the hotel has, it is PNG not a fully serviced western city, relax and smile you are in the Pacific).

As a platinum member there were no extra benefits provided. Room was ok but construction on site was annoying. Decent gym available.

Add pictures of the recipes for the menu!
It will help customers see and choose meals as they please.
Most people don't understand what meals they order, only to find that its not what they want.

I've stayed here many times before. The staff are always warm and courteous, and the location is good if you need to get to places like UPNG or any office in Waigani. This time was a little disappointing because I asked to change rooms so I could have a room with a desk near an electrical outlet and they refused my request saying they had a large group coming in and needed to accommodate them first. Since I've been a pretty loyal customer I thought they should have moved me before sorting out the accommodation for incoming guests. But oh well... In general this hotel is clean and comfortable. The food, however, is mediocre. The breakfast buffet is good, but the dinner buffet tends to not be very good at all.

I stay at this hotel regularly for several weeks at a time. I always enjoy my time there although that could be because I usually stay in African hotels of lower standard.
Common complaints with this hotel are the cost of everything, the lamentable hot water situation in the tower block, and the variable food quality.
On the other hand, the staff are lovely, the beds are fabulous, and the amenities are great, if limited.
The works going on mean there is quite a bit of noise and disruption in the vicinity, but that should be over by September.
I am going back in a few weeks and looking forward to it especially as they have now installed wifi internet access and there is a suggestion that some events are planned for long-term guests and, in keeping with all other IHG hotels, for priority club members.
