Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A Bit Run Down But Comfortable The hotel is clean and the staff are quite friendly. I found the staff at the front desk to be quite helpful. I loved being able to get coffee "take away" in the morning from the restaurant. I enjoyed having the separate kitchen and TV area in my room. The kitchen was especially useful as I rarely ate in the hotel restaurant which had a limited menu and seemed to want patrons to use the buffet. I would have appreciated more fresh fruits, vegetables, salads and sandwiches and less fried and oily food. Service in the restaurant was extremely slow and not very welcoming. Each time I had to ask wait staff to bring a menu and then flag them down again to take my order after significant time lags. That said, staff were quite friendly and one waitress remembered my name from day to day which is nice and welcoming. There were maintenance issues with the room: a noisy aircon, malfunctioning fridge and a bathroom drain that didn't. The internet service was not working more than it was working. But they did find a work around when I asked. However the problem persisted during the entire three weeks I was there. The management very nicely gave me a bottle of wine as an apology but I would have preferred working internet service since I was on business. November 3, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Swimming pool I stayed for 7 nights at Holiday Inn. The staff and overall service was very good and satisfactory to my expectations of a 'Holiday Inn'. But the swimming pool was largely neglected part of the hotel. It was dirty and the cleanliness of the swimming pool was not very good. There was no life guard or person to supervise the swimming pool area. There is no shower facility or changing room near the pool. People play in water in casual clothes and kids spit and urinate near the pool. Please improve this section of the hotel. October 14, 2014

Its great to see the renovations and improvements, which are really improving the quality of the hotel. Its a great little haven from the bustle of town. The staff are a real asset to the hotel, always to friendly and helpful. October 7, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lower your expecations for PNG Room was comfortable and there were no bed bugs, but that is the extent of what was positive about the stay at the Holiday Inn in Port Moresby PNG. Staying at the Holiday Inn carries with it an expectation of quality, but I would suggest they are not living up to their brand in this case. Lower your expectations of quality, cleanliness, and value for money and its probably OK. October 7, 2014
