Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing staff great hotel We are a family of 4 1 pet. We stayed two nights at the Holiday-Inn in Portland Airport and they were just great. The staff were amazingly nice and helped with whatever was needed. We were tired after along day so we stayed and ate at the hotel's restaurant, I recommend trying the Rib-eye which was great! I made it to the hotel stressed to the max because of a rerouted flight from Houston, that was originally suppose to land in Portland at 10:55 am, but instead landed after 6:00 pm. I checked in with ease. The suite was clean and I was able to relax. The next day involved lots of family and much chaos, by that night I had gone down to the front desk in tears and proceeded to have a meltdown. I will forever be grateful to one particular staff member, LaVona, for reaching out and helping me to calm down. She offered to assist me in whatever I might need at the time. Every time I saw her at the desk she was smiling and warm to everyone she greeted. She truly is an asset to Holiday Inn! I hope she remains in hospitality. If you choose to stay there and see her, please tell her Texas Sandra says hi! ;) June 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff I booked a room for our wedding night, as my wife and I were flying out early the next morning for our honeymoon. I called to make sure we got a room with a queen bed (who wants two doubles for their wedding night?!) and was told that because I booked through a third party, my room could not be assigned until check-in. I called back the next day and spoke with a supervisor, who not only made sure we had a room with a queen bed, he gave us a king suite at no additional charge! And when we checked in, the staff at the desk was going to upgrade us to a king suite until they saw we had already been upgraded. I was very impressed by their customer service. The one thing I would change about the room (and the reason I marked 4 stars for "Sleep Quality") is that all four pillows were the same, and they were extremely fluffy. Otherwise, I was very happy with everything! June 20, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Climate control The climate control is a VERY noisy unit and needs some changes to make it quieter or replacement. The Exercise room need an elliptical that functions fully and MUCH better weight equipment. Otherwise, this is great hotel and everyone is very friendly and will do whatever it takes to make your stay pleasant especially if you've had a tough time/day. I appreciate their being able to make decisions at the desk to bend the rules perhaps to take care of me. June 15, 2015
