Clean and comfortable rooms coupled with superb facilities make this a favorite destination stop. Breakfast was superb as was the Server. I will make it a point, when transiting through Portland, to reside here. Thank you.

Yes, comfortable room, friendly staff. However, my room faced the highway, therefore I heard truck noise, train noise and airplane noise. It did make from some difficulty sleeping. But appears to be nciest hotel near the airport.

When I am Portland this is the hotel of choice for me.
I am very comfortable with the personnel.
The front desk people are are excellent in the service they provide. All are well trained and go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied.
The hotel has gone through an extensive renovation top to bottom. They have done a great job modernizing (before was great also but it is better now).
If you are in the area check this place out. You will be glad you did.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sudsey Comfortable bed and good service, except.
My wife and I often stay at the Holiday Inn Portland Airport. It is a nice hotel with a good Park and Fly Program. Our only complaint is I am a coffee drinker and they often don't have enough coffee in the rooms for the little in room coffee maker.....yes.....some of us use them. Always there are never enough coffee pouches as it takes two for a little pot, and there is often no cream, and no sugar. And while we are at it, why not use the real creamers, the other is not good tasting nor good for you health. Please fix this situation.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by RoadWarrior6000 Outdated, dirty, noisy
As a Platinum IHG member, I continue to be amazed by the lack of upkeep, updating and care at your legacy Holiday Inn properties. This stay was another example of a less than desirable stay. Your HIE properties are up-to-date, clean, and well maintained. Your Intercontinental properties are incomparable. Why are your HI properties typically dingy, dirty and seem to be in disrepair.
I stayed here one night. My room was directly behind the elevator shafts, so my night was highlighted by the constant drone of three elevators going up and down.
I decided to take a shower in the evening. Turning the shower on, after 5 minutes waiting for hot water, I called the front desk who was going to send up a tech (at 11:30 PM). Approximately a minute later, the water began to warm up so I called the front desk to cancel the tech.
The restaurant is a non-entity...evidenced by the few table that filled the cavernous dining room.
I don't get it. I LOVE IHG, but please spend some $$$ on your Holiday Inn properties.

Nice to receive voucher to buy food in café but there is very little on the café menu for a vegan to purchase except oatmeal or juice.
Parking is rather crowded but I had a 1st floor room on the back side near an exit with several parking spaces available which was great. They were also very good about providing me with a refrigerator in which to put my vegan food items that I brought with me so I didn't mind that there wasn't much available on the menu but it would have been a pleasant surprise if there had been more options on the menu. Staff was very helpful in answering questions and provided me with a map to my next destination.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sierras49 Fun Weekend enhanced by a great hotel!
We stayed at this Holiday Inn as participants in the Tail Blazing in the Inland Northwest Canine Freestyle competition. It was just perfect. The convention center worked extremely well for the competition, the room was excellent, staff was helpful and courteous and the food was delicious too (I had salmon). My dog and I felt quite welcome. Thank you for making this a wonderful experience for all.

This was a horrible experience and began with "check-in" Mr. Holt, General Manager has been working with me and promises a full refund and some "training" for his staff. I would like to write a full review or let someone in person know exactly what happened. It's not fair to totally discredit the facility based on what happened if it is indeed rectified.L

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Southomaha Great all around
I have been there several times and the front staff remember me, which is nice. They are friendly and professional. My room is always clean and well taken care of. I have noticed a marked improvement in the response time for the shuttle pick up from the airport, which was an issue for me before, but not any longer.
The hotel is great place to stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by islandscribe Great hotel - once you find it
I was at this hotel for a dog competition and must give the hotel and the staff top marks for accomodating not only the humans but the canine competitors. The event organizers repeatedly praised the hotel for its support of the event and cooperative attitude when it came to finding extra tables or adjusting the set up.
The rooms were great and included a mini-fridge (BONUS!) and complimentary coffee. The price included a reasonable flat rate allowance for the dog half of the competing teams, which was appreciated. The conference centre was a large, well-appointed space for the competition.
All of the staff were wonderful and the restaurant was very good, especially the buffet breakfast.
The only issue was finding the hotel. We had directions from the hotel website and from Google maps and still wasted more than an hour trying to locate it. We drove in from out of town but we also heard from competitors coming from the immediate area that they even had trouble finding the hotel. We suggested to the front desk clerk that improved directions to the hotel on the website would be very helpful - we hope someone hears us and rectifies this issue.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tkmarrazzo Recent stay at PDX Airport Holiday Inn
Everything with this stay was great; especially the automatic upgrade we received at checkin. If there is one thing I cannot emphasize enough, it is you to replace your pillows!!! Ever since you switched to those pillows brand wide, it is terrible getting comfortable. Somebody in management needs to get the message and get some real sized pillows that don't feel like hot sponges!
As a commercial airline pilot, I stay at Holiday Inns at least 50 times a year. Fix the pillows!!!

Hotel is very clean. Staff is very friendly. I could not use the drink coupons at the gourmet coffee location, only at the restaurant. The outside noise (train, cars) is very noticeable. I did not perform well at work the next morning of my stay(s).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DougWhik Very Good Stopover for 2 Days
The lobby and my room were in excellent condition. I found all the furnishings in very good shape with no dings, stains, or ugliness to them. While the beds were comfortable, the quality could be a step up. But, they were good.
My only wish was to have had a small store within the hotel that would sell beer, sundries, and perhaps sandwiches from within a refrigerator

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 6sww Comfortable stay by the airport
Although I had difficulty getting a hold of the front desk before my arrival, everyone was very friendly and helpful in our needs. The shuttle to the airport was very convenient and easy. This shuttle is also available if you want to venture out a bit and dine off property (or shop). The restaurant on property is fair both in quality and service but it works. The rooms are quite comfortable but you do not get AMC (which can be a bummer when you are wanting to watch the finale of Breaking Bad).

We have stayed here twice and will not be back. first stay was on the south end of building and listened to the trains all night. Second stay we ask for a room away from the train track and they put us on the other end of hotel. It was behind the elevators and all you could hear was the electric motors of the elevators all night. I went to the office and they told me that room 801 was the most quite room in the hotel. I told them that was a shame, for we got no sleep.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Traveler2832 Great service; a few issues
The front desk staff, the shuttle van drivers and the restaurant employees are the best! The room appeared neat and clean, however I did notice a musty smell upon entering the room. The dust ruffle was badly wrinkled on one of the beds; an old apple core was discovered on the floor; and the base of the toilet, well, it was not clean. Everything in the room worked; tv, lamp, ac/heater, hairdryer and coffee maker. I would also suggest placing more than one packet of cream & sugar with the coffee. Thanks. Also, please line the trash cans. It's a cleanliness thing. The beds were comfortable and I appreciate the four pillows. I would stay here again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Beds need to be replaced
For our stay everything was good except for the beds... First they were doubles, not queens and both of them sunk towards the middle, so all night long two people in the same bed keep rolling to the middle. not restful at all.

We stayed in a 2 room suite/kitchennette. The indoor pool was enjoyable, but you have to walk through a rather exposed area to get there. Didn't bother the kids, but the wife was a little embarrassed to feel caught out in the open in a swim suit. Staff is efficient and friendly, not too much noise despite proximatey to airport, and the heavy curtains helped with lighting. One of the quickest hotel to get to from the airport. The rewards member room was cool. Good place for a conference or training class.

Following a less-than-positive experience at the Holiday Inn Airport in August 2013, we received a response from the manager apologizing for the housekeeping "misses" in our room and advising that he had refunded the cost of our room and offered an incentive should we decide to return. As it happens, because of the response we received, we did return for a trip in late September and our room was comfortable and clean, and the service friendly and accommodating. Family members traveling with us also stayed at the HI, again based on the response we received following our August stay. We especially appreciate the "park and fly" option offered at this hotel. Thank you, Jason. We will stay with you again when we fly out of PDX!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by kjr2013 Rooms are clean but old and musty smelling
I thought the rooms were up to date on comfort but the building is old and run down. I changed rooms because of the smell only to get the smell again in the next room. Bed was comfortable and overall the room was clean but the building is old and the halls and carpets are run down. You get what you get when you stay at the airport but this was the worst Holiday Inn that I have stayed in. The staff was pleasant like usual but never again for me.

We used this reservation to leave our car at Holiday Inn, fly out, spend five days, fly back, and then stay the night. We've already booked to do this again! Great value for the price, and we are more comfortable with our car in the Holiday Inn lot than in airport long-term parking. The Holiday Inn airport free shuttle is prompt and convenient. They even let us book two nights, because our return was uncertain, and then cancel one as soon as we knew.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by techguy99 Too noisy with trains and dogs
Very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. Room had a musky smell that didn't go away. Was not recognized as a Platinum member when checked in. Had howling dogs in next room for the first 4 nights then on fifth night was moved to a room high on parking lot side and trains sounded like they were coming through the room.
We should have been informed there was a dog convention going on when reservation was made.
Staff had no idea of anything local. I asked about a park to walk in and was told there were none around. But according to my GPS there were several around. The location of hotel is horrible. No places to eat close by except in hotel.
I have never written a survey like this before. Most of my stays are pleasant at the very least but I will never stay at this hotel again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nobed Disappointed
I booked a room for 3 adults explicitly, also put in the request of 3 beds and marked late arrival in advance according to our flight schedule. I was expecting a roll away bed in place so that each of us could get a good rest before next day's travel.
However, to my disappointment, when we arrived as scheduled, there was no roll away bed left for us! It was late at night, we were exhausted and need to leave early next morning, there's no other option but to take the extra bedding which is the only thing they could offer and one of us had to sacrifice and sleep on the floor.
I was totally disappointed, Holiday Inn used to leave me good impression on their delicate service, especially in Hong Kong. Maybe this is just airport hotel, and they have sufficient clients from airlines, so that they don't need to treat their Platinum members well.
