Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average Portsmouth Supposedly refurbished in 2011 but they must have missed room 607, various things not working and looking old and sad. Supposedly an executive room but no minibar and only a partial sea view, disappointing. Arrived at 8pm and car par full, so had to park out on the road which was OK. Small pool & gym which was OK, breakfast was average. November 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel,apart from the parking Enjoyed our stay (3 days) Room & facilities good. Restaurant menu not extensive but what we had was good. Staff very helpful. The only problem was parking. There was no room in the car park when we arrived and the alternative was a wet, muddy area over the road We finally managed to park but in the morning could not access driver's door because of extensive inconsiderate parking. Had to squeeze in passenger door and climb over into driver's seat. Then required 5 minutes worth of going backwards and forwards to exit parking slot because of cars parked all over the place in non designated spaces. Regretfully, would think twice about using this hotel again because of the parking experience, although location was very convenient. November 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Three night business trip Really happy with all aspects of my stay, the welcome and efficient check in was excellent - room fair size, and very clean - breakfast choice and quality was very good - although I didn't get a chance to use the leisure facilities the pool did look very inviting. and check out smooth and efficient - ample car parking - and a bonus is due to location, easy walking distance to gun wharf and Southsea restaurants (and shops) - I would book here again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Service should be their moto I felt that the staff hotel have been trained to offer a high level customer experience, and it showed on several occasions . The food offered was of good quality using quality produce . In essence I can only praise the staff and in general the hotel. But only moan is the size of the rooms , but can't everything!!! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad Room always cleaned and towels replaced. Very friendly and helpful staff. I did feel the bar closed too early though. Bring your own iron too, because the ones supplied by the hotel are cheap non-steam, and so poor you can almost hold your hand to the face when it is turned on! Overall a good stay though.
