Great room, comfortable bed, attentive staff.
The only criticism would be the breakfast buffet. It's not great.
Otherwise fantastic value for money.
Oh and it's impossible to get a taxi!!!

Staff is friendly and even when they don't speak fluent english they will always try to help you.
Every thing was clean, the room was spacious, and the falilities very modern and in perfect condition.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night in mid-January.
The most impressive thing during my stay at this hotel is kind, considerate and outstanding service from all the hotel staff.
It looks like all the hotel staff treat guests from their hearts.
Their way of treating customer was in the viewpoint of guest.
Very warming and impressive.
Hotel facilities and room are not luxurious but clean, neat and comfortable..
They assigned me a bright room with a good view -They upgraded the room for me as I am a platinum member.
Early afternoon, I opened the window of the room because the room was warm as sunlights came in.
When I tried to close the window later, it was not fully closed.
I called the front desk and hotel staff came and checked it right away.
They aplogized it and changed the room into a suite room without extra charge.
That was one of the examples.
All the staff were very kind and were ready to help me from their heart for every issue.
Platinum members can use club lounge at 28th floor without any extra charge,
Happy meals are served from 5:30 P.M. at the club lounge and I enjoyed the good meal.
It was very pleasant experience especially due to nice and kind hotel staff..

Coming back to the same hotel in just 1.5 months. This time, I was disappointed that the room facilities were not as good as the room I stayed last time for the same price - no bath tube! The room does not worth this price!
However, the service of this hotel is still the best among other Holiday Inns I have stayed in Asia before. All hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. Excellent service! I will come back again next year, and I hope I will get a better room, and the good staff will still be there.

Great location. It's centrally located in the city but in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Easy access to all attractions in the city by taxi which is inexpensive and abundant.
All hotel staffs speak adequate English and are well trained in their professions. Overall, it is a good 4-stars hotel in international standard.

I stay here as and when I need to visit Qingdao. Perhaps this was my fifth stay. I am one of those who patronized this hotel even before its completion. I could see tremendous efforts have been put to ensure that there is some value for money. Particularly there is a sea of change at the attitude of the front desk staff, the lobby staff, the concierges and the service staff....great excellent endeavor .....but one important aspect that the hotel still could not boast of is their menu in the restaurant. Food richess they have brought but not cuisine variety, not service oriented staff there, not innovative chefs there....for long this is an area of neglect. Yet another aspect is the lack of a shuttle between airport.....I think there is a shuttle between Crowne Plaza and Hi, Parkview....perhaps some agreement among these three hotels or this hotel alone could be a great value addition. Being a Platinum member, I could also get the he benefits, ofcourse ome times I need to demand and get them but mostly they care......a little bit of attention from the Asst manager on duty to cater attention to guest requirements would go a long way. Great but great opportunities available for improvement too. Good wishes....I will continue patronizing and would urge recommend this property to all travel elites.

The staffs were very helpful, polite, and friendly. Good location - easy to travel between the hotel and the airport. Great sightseeing places nearby. Missed the seafood buffet dinner this time, hopefully try it next time.

Breakfast is very limiyted and could be much better.
I managed to use the executive floor howver I only used it once as it is probably worse than the main breakfast restaurant on the ground floor. If I were you I would turn this area into a sky bar with views over the city and improve the breakfast on the ground floor.

Overall a good hotel. Clean and mostly excellent staff. Often very difficult to get a taxi as the main entrance is on a bit of a side street. I am reviewing my last 2 stays in this review as the problems I had we're similar on both stays. The last time we stayed was not during a public holiday period. We booked the club floor as we wanted to be able to use the Premier lounge for breakfast and the happy hour. On checking in we were told that the lounge wasn't open for breakfast because there weren't enough customers to warrant opening it for breakfast. So we would have to use the restaurant like everyone else. I asked how they could charge me extra for services I wouldn't be getting? Eventually I was begrudgingly given a VERY slight reduction in my room rate 'because the happy hour is still on' briefly happy hour consists of a whiskey, a rum, a gin, a red and white wine. And some very,very luke warm fried -from -frozen convenience food - onion rings, chips etc. one type of cold meat, one type of cheese. Fruit salad. Fried rice, you get the idea. Fast forward to this trip during the October 1st national holiday. We stayed in a premier floor room again, except this time it was one that had a connecting door # a family room #except it sounded as though the other family next door were in the room with us. A note on travel and ALL Chinese hotels - don't go expecting a rest. Chinese folk use the corridors all hours of the day and night to hold long heated conversations, yelling at the top of their lungs. The thought is, if we're up EVERYBODY is up. And the louder and more often you can slam your door the better, especially if your neighbours from your hometown can hear the noise 'cos they will realise you are rich because you're staying n a hotel. This of course is not the fault of the hotel management. Anyway back to the business lounge this trip. The staff are delightful that work there. The breakfast is meagre and again luke warm food. On the last day my wife and I ordered an omelette after 40 minutes of apologies and no omelette we had to check out hungry. We were told amazingly when we arrived for breakfast to expect a Very long delay for food because of the national holiday, the restaurant was busy etc etc etc. so why were we paying more for less service? - bizarre reasoning. And one last point on the happy hour this visit, food still convenience food, left standing at luke warm temperatures but this time the soft drinks/mixer drinks fridge is LOCKED so you must ask every time you want anything to drink. The staff make a huge display of unlocking the fridge for you etc. so NOT a happy hour, just a begrudging hour. No more, I think I'll try another hotel, this isn't he way to treat loyal customers.
