Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Mistake on billing When I checked in, I was requested to provide my personal credit card to cover any incidents as I mentioned that the room was paid by my office. I was assured that the Hotel was not going to bill my credit card. Well, THEY DID!!!! Now I am spending time which constitutes money fixing the mistake. February 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Valentines at the Holiday Inn in downtown Raleigh My wife and I stayed at this Holiday Inn and it was very clean, comfortable, and located close to a lot of great night life. Even better, it was very affordable compared to other hotels within the downtown area. We did not dine on the premises as we had other plans therefore did not rate it. Would definitely recommend and will stay there again. February 20, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not Happy The rate for the room breakfast was too high. Making my reservation the website showed no rooms available, I called hotel direct and was told they did indeed have rooms available. Not sure why this discrepancy occurred? Also, room rates posted on website were cheaper than what I was quoted by the front desk when I called to make the reservation. Since it was Valentine's Day I can only assume the rates were increased due to the holiday? The night we stayed we had noisy neighbors and security had to be called. They quieted down "some" but it was still a very un-restful night. The weather on the night of our stay was high winds and the hotel flags outside our window were flapping all night. Again, disturbing noises led to a very un-restful night. As soon as we checked in we had to call maintenance to come fix the toilet. Coffee machine in the lobby took my money and provided the worst coffee and hot chocolate we've ever had. The front desk stated that I could have complimentary coffee / hot chocolate brought to our room and suggested I contact the phone number on the machine in the lobby to get a refund. We paid an extra $15 to have breakfast, as a IHG Rewards Club member I had assumed breakfast was included with the room rate? February 19, 2015
