I think it is ridiculous to pay $7 to park your car in a parking garage owned and operated by the hotel. The desk clerk states that it is because of people illegally parking in the garage. If that's the case, have the illegally parked cars towed! It's that simple!

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Raleigh. I would stay there again. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and clean. My bed wasn't the most comfortable for some reason, but it was a good value in a good location. The restaurants nearby had really good food. I was pleasantly surprised by the good food Downtown.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Businesstripper01 Adequate hotel for business trip
This hotel is what you would expect for a holiday Inn. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable with everything you could need. The hotel itself is well presented with excellent facilities and has a great central location. Parking must be paid for but the car park area is large and felt quite secure.
The restaurant is on the top floor with a great view over the city.
A few moans: Noise: think the windows need upgrading. The noise from the road and railway is disturbing at times and did affect my sleep.
The service in the restaurant at breakfast wasn't great. The staff were a bit disorganised and it took along time to get a menu, hot drinks etc.
