Stayed new Year's Eve, they promised a band, party favors, and prizes. They provided all but they were provided for anyone off the street as well. When it got close to midnight people off the street were coming in for the prizes in the balloons. Was led to believe this party was for guests only, which is why they had a package rate versus a regular rate. The only thing provided (that was not provided to the public) was the room and breakfast buffet in the morning in which they had a coupon. I will not stay here on New Year's again, do not feel I received anything special other than the room and the morning buffet. Very disappointing!!!

Interior Decor: Standard Holiday Inn in the traditional ways. A bit worn wallpapers.
Exterior appearance: Located next to Mount Rushmore Plaza arena/convention center with plenty of parking space and parks. Building is easy to spot.
Outside view from the room: Average - hotel parking lot and city residential areas.
Room size: Approximately 60 square meters. Generously big.
Price value: Very good for what I paid.
Service: Friendly staffs. A bit disappointed for the restaurant food quality (a mismatch for the restaurant's great location in the atrium).
Bed: Medium softness - King Size.
Room: Poor noise insulation - can hear echoed noise from the atrium cleanly. Average for the design sense in the room - but I would have liked to have the new Holiday Inn decor applied to my room.

The elevator out of service was the only negative about this property and after reading the other reviews it seems like it has been out of service for a few months. Staff was great bar and restaurant was awesome great food. Front desk staff was very friendly.

I was visiting Rapid City to participate in the RC Kennel Club dog show. Our stay was an absolutely wonderful experience. The suite was incredibly comfortable, the staff was very friendly, and the coffee shoppe in lobby was a life saver.

This hotel was very fun to stay at! The rooms are very nice and clean. There is a very inviting and fun atmosphere when you walk into the lobby/lounge area. We would recommend this to anyone! :)

I loved the Hotel, and the staff were very helpful and professional. The room was great, but with Faults. The Room I stayed in had 2 TVs and 2 Sinks. on paper it may sound great but the TVs had different cable providers, so the channels didn't link up. Now this really isn't that big of deal, but what bothers me is, instead of haveing 2 TVs that don't link up and 2 sinks, I would have rather of had a Mini Fridge, and Microwave. I had to go get ice every time i wanted a cold drink, and ended up throwing food away because it got cold. Not a major catastrophe but still vary irritating

Of the two elevators on the property, one remained inoperable for at least 4 days during my stay. The ice machine also was inoperable for the same length of time. These are the things you need most at a hotel. Good, free internet service off the lobby. Front desk staff and business office staff very helpful and friendly when mail/package services were needed.
