Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Short Stay My wife and I travel extensively in Europe and we decided to stop by Reims on a short stay to enjoy the Champagne and tours of some local cellars. The hotel is recently updated, our room was upper floors, front. Update was very nicely done. Our room was large with a spacious bathroom. Staff was ready for our arrival and check in took less than two minutes. The staff was helpful, warm, and friendly. As stated in other reviews the hotel is located perfectly to enjoy the downtown area and a 10 to 20 minute walk will get you to several Champagne cellars. Overall an excellent experience. May 8, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Well situated but ... noizy! - Street > hardly no isolation with street - Internal (one hear everything what is happening on the corridor Bed & room were ok as every holliday inn. Though it had more the charm of an office building, which has been converted to a hotel. Regards A platin customer April 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location The staff were extremely pleasant and courteous. Nice location for visiting the city center. April 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, mostly good hotel We have stayed at the Holiday Inn, Reims for more than a decade but this was our first visit since it's major refurbishment during 2012. The location is still (obviously!) perfect for exploring Reims on foot and enjoying the excellent selection of bars and restaurants it offers. The rooms have been well refurbished and are comfortable. A very useful feature is the minibar chiller, which is NOT electronically controlled (a pet hate in upmarket hotels is moving something in a minibar but not consuming anything and still being charged because a sensor says I’ve had a beer). This means you have somewhere to chill a bottle of champagne from one of the many champagne houses (this is Reims, after all) or, more practically, a pint of milk for your tea and coffee! Just a couple of very minor niggles we had with the adjoining rooms. There is no longer a mirror behind the table in the room for my wife to do her makeup. Also, the alteration of the bathroom on the disabled-friendly side into a wet-room was a great idea but there is no longer a unit to put anything on, the wall-mounted tissues have vanished and it's impossible not to drown the entire floor area! We have never felt the need to eat an evening meal in the 7th floor restaurant, as the choice in town is very wide and very good, so I can’t comment on that. The bar, now relocated to the 7th floor, is more than adequate for a post meal drink though and (usually) efficiently staffed. Breakfast, however, is one area that does, occasionally, let this hotel down. The selection is fairly standard and all nice enough but woe betide if you are towards the end of the time slot. By 8.30, on a morning when breakfast runs until 9.30, there is usually very little cooked left, the bread and pastries are thin on the ground and the staff show no inclination to find any more. Other than that, we’ve always had nice stays there and are returning for 3 more days in the summer. April 17, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, quite and close to everything Friendly staff, nice room...just remember to put your key in the slot for power...we wasteful Americans didn't know about that! Good value. April 12, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by freezing restaurant and bar an unpleasant evening in a feezing bar and restaurant....first time ever I've worn an outdoor coat in a restaurant....no apologies presented by staff, I will not be visiting again March 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleasant stay Very well located, in the heart of the city of Reims, the hotel staff is very very good. I also liked the restaurant. Excelent option for leisure and for business trips. In my next visit, I will return to the Holiday Inn Reims City Centre. March 14, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good room and reception staff Room was comfortable and a good standard as it has been refurbished recently. Restaurant food in the evening was average, the restaurant was cold and service intermittent. Breakfast staff were not helpful, much of the bread had gone and no more was available. Staff started clearing everything away around us at 9:30 very poor! February 21, 2013
