Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Just not what I expect from Holiday Inn
The hotel isn't terrible, but I guess I've been spoiled by HI-Express Hotels, which are where I usually stay. You would expect a "full" Holiday Inn to be better, but in my experience, HI-Express Hotels are miles better.
First of all, they never, every, even after being asked about it, recognized my Ambassador Club level. I was told, "normally upon check-in, we give our Ambassador Club members bottled water, nut we don't have any. There is a vending machine around the corner if you need some". What?
Then I had issues with the shower not draining AT ALL. If the housekeeper had truly cleaned the shower (which it was obvious it hadn't been) earlier in the day, they would have noticed the tub was clogged. Right?
Then, there were two days out of the stay where, even though I had clearly put the USED coffee styrofoam coffee cups near the trash can (some still had coffee in them, so didn't want to put them in the can), they were left sitting where they were placed and the magazines and newspapers that had been put in the trash bin to be discarded had been removed and placed on the floor next to the bin.
The "club level" was only open for two hours. Ok, that's fine. But when it was, it was PACKED. There was no place to sit and only one person to handle everything. He was extremely nice and did the best he could, but it was clear he needed help.
Lastly... the wi-fi kept requiring every few minutes that you re-login. That became a real pain.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Andrew10 Great Hotel! Great People!
I stayed at this hotel for business. Location is great and it's only 8-10 minutes from the airport. They have a good 'comfort food' type restaurant and had a Chef in the lobby passing out samples when I arrived. Good rooms..a bit dated but nice. Good pool. Very friendly and just a nice hotel to base your Seattle activities from.

we stayed at this property at the end of an Alaskan cruise. The airport shuttle was very convenient and on time. The room was comfortable and the 3:30 am wake up call was right on time.
There was a resturant on site plus other resturants within walking distance. The property was clean and well maintained.
Due our arrival time and EARLY departure, we did not use any of the other ammenties.
The only drawback was that the only Priority Club recognition that we received was " you are using Rewards Night" which we were. We have received a small goodie bag upon arrival at other Holiday Ins in the past.

Have a good experience to stay at this hotel with just one night. The customer service is good, and it just takes 30mins driver to Seattle downtown, it's a good choice for Seattle travel if you don't want to pay too much money.

HIE Renton is conviently located close to SEATAC and I405/5 a major shopping center and has an excellent park and fly program.
It's an older facility but fairly well maintained. Prior to flying out we stayed in the newer section - the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom clean and well proportioned and the room was very clean.
On our return we were in the older section and while clean and comfortable it did have a noticeable musty odor (not anything that really bothered us) and the bathroom was small and obviously had been around for awhile.
Very helpful, friendly staff.
I'd certainly stay here again but would probably ask for a room in the newer section.
Comparative to other facilities in the area it's a good bargain.

I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the staff at this hotel. Both the front desk staff and reception were friendly and welcoming. The staff in the hospitality suite was also great. It was nice to see so much attention to detail and job knowledge at a hotel with such a reasonable price. I will definitely be coming back.

Overall, my stay here was OK. I stayed here while visiting Seattle. It was the closest hotel where I could use reward points for two nights and pay for a third night. Free breakfast at the attached restaurant was OK. We went the first two days but not the third. The menu was the same both days we went so wanted to try something different for the third morning. On the second day (Saturday), the restaurant was much busier and the buffet was out of food until restocked about 5 minutes after we were seated. Biggest drawback was the lounge area on the 6th floor. It was quiet the first two nights but on the third night there was a big group partying in the lounge area until almost 2am. Tried calling the front desk but no one answered. I would stay here again but if we had similar problems with a loud group in the lounge partying late into the night, I would not stay again.
