Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jarred VERY DISAPPOINTING FOR THE 3RD TIME
This was unfortunately my third time staying at this sub-par property, only because all of the other IHG properties in proximity were sold out again! Each stay has been identical in the area's which were unacceptable, and frankly out-of-character for IHG! I was never recognized as a Platinum Elite member at check-in or check-out, no mention of any upgrade occurred ! Rather, I was relegated to an undesirable standard room in a noisy location next to the elevator, and vending area (which, by the way contained machines which were out of order!)! It is interesting that I have never been upgraded nor recognized at this property--something that I have not ever experienced at any other IHG property! The only positive thing I can offer was that I was allowed late check-out just for the asking! Obviously, I will stay elsewhere when next in the area!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WearyBusinessTraveler42 Not Good For Priority Club Members
I usually do not write reviews, and I complain even less. But one thing I expect being a Platinum Priority Club member is receiving a room upgrade, when one is available. It is well understood that occasionally upgrades are not available due to booking issues and so forth. However, on this occasion I was able to find availability of upgradeable rooms available for sale on the IHG website. Thus, an upgrade was available. Trust me, I'm not "better than the next guy" and think I deserve something more than someone else. However, I spend a virtual fortune on hotels for business travel and one of the perks for being a platinum member is getting the free upgrade. It's why I'm in the program. I did mention this to the hotel management, and they wanted to "make things right". My issue was a flyer they provided guests stating how they strive to make things right before people complain, "but if you do have a complaint, tell us and we'll fix it". How about this: do it right in the first place. If you are supposed to upgrade a guest, do it. Oh, by the way, the HVAC is horrible #apparently it's getting replaced?#, and the attached restaurant is marginal at best. Walk a few hundred yards down the street if you want decent food. Just FYI...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JeanneCo Perfect for Early Morning Flights
Instead of driving from home at 2 a.m. for a 6:15 a.m. flight, we stayed at the Holiday Inn, Renton. What a great idea! We were comfortable, treated well, and had no problem getting transported to the airport in time for our early flight. To make matters better yet, we were able to leave our car at the hotel for our entire time away (2+ weeks) for NO EXTRA CHARGE! It just doesn't get any better than this!

This hotel is a great place to leave your car while you are away. There is a free shuttle to the airport and back and staff are friendly and obliging. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast buffet is fabulous with the blueberries, strawberries and granola. The last morning, I think there was staff shortage or I hit the breakfast to lunch changeover as the service wasn't as attentive as usual. However, I got a coffee to go which was a nice touch.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Arcticorca8 Service great! Room not so great.
Staff and service at this hotel very good. Restaurant staff very good. Room was old and not well thought out. I am sure they will update but the room I had was terrible. Severe lack of electrical outlets that were accessible. Especially by the bed. Under the desk was a power strip with a huge mess of cords. I scooted the bed mattress to access the plug behind bed which was a hole in the wall and just a nasty mess of dirt and dust on box spring. Clearly had not been cleaned in a long, long time. The sheets looked old and dingy. As a priority club platinum member I spend a lot of time in Holiday Inn Properties. This was well below the average. But the staff made up the difference.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jeff042 No air circulation in the winter
This property has a heating system from the stone ages. It's either air conditioned or heated but not both. If it's too hot and stuffy and it's a heating time of year then opening the window is the only way to get fresh air. Unfortunately you also get all the outside noise. It's also an older hotel so rooms are small for comparable cost. I wouldn't stay here again.

This holiday inn express is standard - while updated in some areas it still shows its age in others. Older wall paper walls and heating/cooling in the rooms. The location has a lot of construction going on at the intersection to arrive and exit and it is difficult in the late afternoon to get in or out of this location. This seems like a larger construction project so I would expect it to last till late May. The construction work is also 24/7 and was very loud a few times during the night.
