Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Smelly room, horrible restaurant Room felt like it hadn't been cleaned and was used by a smoker previously. Found it hard to adjust the thermostat too, room was rather cold. Do not even eat the restaurant at ground floor. Waited so long for service. When it came, waitress was not at all attentive. Nachos came with spoiled cheese, we still got charged the full price. Food was horrible, not worth at all. Just go to Mcdonalds nearby. December 7, 2014

I wanted key cards that worked without having to hike all the way to the lobby at 11:00 pm when neither would let us into the room after our evening out. Why did they open the back door if they wouldn't open the room? I wanted a toilet lid to close so I wouldn't have to worry about dropping anything into the open toilet. I wanted soft toilet paper and a shower curtain that didn't have a rip in it. I wanted a clean floor without a line of dust at the intersection with the wall. When I looked for a lost earring I wanted the area under the bed and behind the nightstand to be clean without old food and debris. The bed was pretty comfortable and our room at the back of the hotel was quiet and free from traffic noise. The front desk clerks did not seem very friendly at check-in, but the guy on duty when we were locked out of the room was very helpful and efficient. We did not eat in the restaurant. My wife and I have stayed at this Hotel on numerous occasions when travelling between our homes in Canada and the southern U.S. We even travel an extra 2 Hrs. on one of our travel days in order to make it to the Holiday Inn in Richmond, VA. On our last stay, however, we found it rather odd that although breakfast was complimentary, we were charged for the coffee that came with it! Then, upon leaving the Hotel immediately after breakfast, we discovered complimentary coffee in the lobby!! Very Odd! November 25, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK hotel, but problems with room. Came for a one night stay. The hotel is pretty nice, although the location is not the greatest. The heater in my room wasn't working. The repairman came twice and couldn't do anything about it, so eventually I was transferred to another room (more than two hours later.) The front desk clerk was helpful and courteous, but I was not offered a room upgrade or anything else as compensation. The new room was fine, however (although the heater was fairly loud, making it difficult to sleep.) November 22, 2014
