Family had two queen beds and that was as expected. Got a good rate for three nights via our AAA representative. We've stayed here before, and we find it convenient to getting around the 419 route for shopping and visiting the relatives in town. Much recommended.

Overall the staff was fantastic and the room was clean and neat. The mattress could stand to be a little softer and the pillows were to firm as well. But overall I was very satisfied.

My wife and I stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn when we attended my son's college graduation. The overnight stay was what we needed after many long hours of driving. We were only in the hotel for 6 hours, but the customer service was outstanding. Definitely recommend this hotel when in the Roanoke area.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions during the past. The staff has always been very " going out of their way" to be helpful.

The hotel is good - fridge and microwave in the spacious room. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.

What a big impressive hotel located in the mountains of Virginia. The lobby was so grand. Friendly front staff. I couldn't wait to get to my room. What a let down. OUTDATED. Not friendly for business travelers. I had to move the nightstand to plug in my IPHONE. No desk- a table with a upholstered side chair that didn't fit with the desk. Awful lighting. I had to move my suitcase by the lamp so that I could see. Yes, we should conserve energy, but I'd like to be able to see! Bathroom- leaky sink, but I drowned out the noise with the A/C. Shower- curtain wouldn't close all the way because the rod was sagging in the middle and gravity forced the curtain on both ends to move to the center. The floor was soaked and I shouldn't have to worry about the floor and leaks. The walls are paper thin and I could hear guests in the halls and next door. It was just such a sad room. It looks like it was painted- I could see all the paint mistakes. The plus was it was clean, although when I moved the lamp I created a dust bowl. Parking seemed to be at a premium. Even mid morning the lot was full. Not a good experience.

Considering we stayed during "Graduation" weekend, we were satisfied with our room and accommodations.
The rooms are not very sound proof as any voices in the hallway can be clearly heard in the room but otherwise, a good night.
I'd recommend this hotel because they allowed a one night stay versus the other hotels requiring a 2 day minimum because of all the graduations.
