While I understand that my stay was for 5 nights I do feel that the standard should be maintained at a high standard regardless of whether it is just one night or several nights. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday inn Rochester Chatham Stayed in this hotel for one night. Enjoyed using the swimming pool and sauna. Had dinner in the restaurant- the food was good. The only thing missing from the hotel was a vending machine in the reception area. It's quite nice to be able to get snacks, especially if you don't want to venture out of the hotel. Apart from that we had an excellent stay and would recommend the hotel. September 25, 2014

The pillows were so thin and very uncomfortable. We are also still awaiting a receipt that was promised to be posted on to us. September 20, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful staff clean hotel. Comfortable bed and soft pillows. The staff were very helpful and the pool and jacuzi were great for relaxing. We managed to park just outside the main door with our Blue Badge which was good, The only problem was the lift for the steps down to reception were out of order and it was a long way round the car park to get in on the level. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Busy Hotel We found our experience of this hotel to be generally good. We did have a room facing a busy road but didn't find that too much of a problem. The breakfast was very good but when ordering a sandwich for lunch (Saturday) the kitchen did not have any prawns, poor planning? We did get woken up in the early hours from noisy resident, possibly attending a wedding party in the hotel. In general our overall experience was good. September 11, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The hotel itself is a very nice place to visit The staff are wonderful: highly professional and very pleasant to talk with. The adjacent health club with gym, pool and hot tub is a real bonus. Internet works very well but is expensive (loyalty club members get it free) and you can only connect two devices, I can't think of any good reason for that restriction. The room was very comfortable and quiet almost all the time but the elephant walking around in the room above at night was a slight problem. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of variety, only imperfection was the black pudding was cut up too small so a little overcooked. Overall: I recommend the hotel highly. Also don't miss Rochester Guildhall museum. September 6, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Stay My stay at the holiday inn in Rochester was nice. I was only in the holiday inn in the evening as I had a our church conference. The bed was firm but comfortable but for those who prefer a much softer bed it may not be to there liking. The service during breakfast was good but not great. It room most of what I needed like the ironing board and iron. Bathroom amenities was great and the shower worked well. The room always made clean and tidy each day. The only thing that was a negative was that the wall tiles in the bath was never cleaned throughout my stay although the bathroom itself was clean and tidy. That's the main reason why GOOD was not EXCELLENT. Love the complimentary water and the chuck kitkat. Will recommend to my friends. It seems everyone was treated well and the same and did not see the difference being a IHG club memeber or not. September 5, 2014

The grounds surrounding the hotel are fine, car parking available and convenient to my destination although I prefer comfort to vicinity since we have church buses available. After the unappetising evening meal I would be reluctant to 'eat in' again at dinner time. September 5, 2014

I did not comment on food because I did not include meals in my package because I did not have the time to have food because I was too occupied with the conference in the area. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant experience I enjoyed my stay for two nights, these were separate bookings due to being unable to book the same room over two nights on the booking system, however when I arrived the staff helped out and changed the booking so I and my wife did not have to change room. I have been to this hotel frequently over the last three years and have always had a pleasant experience, if there was a negative it would be the hotel is looking a little tired especially in the rooms and room corridors. To finish on a positive the experience is always a pleasant one whenever I visit. September 1, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by last turkey in the shop Booked at short notice and on the understanding it would be non-smoking but was presented with a well used and paint-chipped smoking room complete with stained wallpaper and lights, 2 of which were defective on both sides of the bed. Some very damaged bathroom tiles. On the flip side the 10 mile walk along the maze of corridors provided some much needed exercise. Would certainly use again in the event of some natural disaster or civil war. August 28, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel but small rooms and uncomfy beds! My partner and myself stayed at this hotel for 1 nighton the 24/8/14. First impressions were disappointing. On a dingy industrial estate, with nothing welcoming about it! First impressions were not great! Bright and well decorated reception area, along with the Bar and dining areas. Receptionist was quite quite and not very interactive! Felt like she was just going through the motions. LONG walk to our room (41). Passage was dark in parts and a bit secluded and no security was visible. I would be slightly concerned if I was on my own at night. Gym looked great. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A poor example. This stay was not up to previous ones a few months ago. Firstly it took 15 minutes to get checked in. Not just me, there was longer queue behind me when I had finished. Needed more staff and a greater sense of urgency. Ate in, staff good, meal OK but a bit too "out of the packet" for the price. Drank in bar - its about time that IHG started serving local beers instead of the mundane and boring Boddingtons everywhere. Check out has been a disaster. Computer was down. Gave my email address expecting a bill in a few days. When nothing after 10 days contacted customer services. Another week got a phone call late in evening. Eventually, after 3 phone calls 3 emails I paid my bill and got a receipt. Hope I get my points eventually. Things do go wrong but strong organisations can handle it well internally without hassling the customer. August 27, 2014

The experience was fantastic with friendly staff who are prepared to go the extra mile, great rooms, super pool area, delicious food and a cracking breakfast the following day. We have stayed in many hotels as we travel the country on a regular basis but this hotel is definitely superior to any other. Highly recommended. August 25, 2014
