I did not comment on food because I did not include meals in my package because I did not have the time to have food because I was too occupied with the conference in the area. I am looking forward to my next booking at this hotel because I definitely will make a booking there again September 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable, clean and value for money This hotel is excellent value for money, very comfortable, very clean, freindly polite caring staff and good leisure facilties and meal choice, ideal for familky gatherings or weddings too, it is right next to rochester airport but its great to watch the gliders taking off and there was no noise from the airstrip incase your wondering! if you ever need to stay in Rochester you should stay here!!!! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant experience I enjoyed my stay for two nights, these were separate bookings due to being unable to book the same room over two nights on the booking system, however when I arrived the staff helped out and changed the booking so I and my wife did not have to change room. I have been to this hotel frequently over the last three years and have always had a pleasant experience, if there was a negative it would be the hotel is looking a little tired especially in the rooms and room corridors. To finish on a positive the experience is always a pleasant one whenever I visit. September 1, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by last turkey in the shop Booked at short notice and on the understanding it would be non-smoking but was presented with a well used and paint-chipped smoking room complete with stained wallpaper and lights, 2 of which were defective on both sides of the bed. Some very damaged bathroom tiles. On the flip side the 10 mile walk along the maze of corridors provided some much needed exercise. Would certainly use again in the event of some natural disaster or civil war. August 28, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel but small rooms and uncomfy beds! My partner and myself stayed at this hotel for 1 nighton the 24/8/14. First impressions were disappointing. On a dingy industrial estate, with nothing welcoming about it! First impressions were not great! Bright and well decorated reception area, along with the Bar and dining areas. Receptionist was quite quite and not very interactive! Felt like she was just going through the motions. LONG walk to our room (41). Passage was dark in parts and a bit secluded and no security was visible. I would be slightly concerned if I was on my own at night. Gym looked great. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A poor example. This stay was not up to previous ones a few months ago. Firstly it took 15 minutes to get checked in. Not just me, there was longer queue behind me when I had finished. Needed more staff and a greater sense of urgency. Ate in, staff good, meal OK but a bit too "out of the packet" for the price. Drank in bar - its about time that IHG started serving local beers instead of the mundane and boring Boddingtons everywhere. Check out has been a disaster. Computer was down. Gave my email address expecting a bill in a few days. When nothing after 10 days contacted customer services. Another week got a phone call late in evening. Eventually, after 3 phone calls 3 emails I paid my bill and got a receipt. Hope I get my points eventually. Things do go wrong but strong organisations can handle it well internally without hassling the customer. August 27, 2014

The experience was fantastic with friendly staff who are prepared to go the extra mile, great rooms, super pool area, delicious food and a cracking breakfast the following day. We have stayed in many hotels as we travel the country on a regular basis but this hotel is definitely superior to any other. Highly recommended. August 25, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Booked a room on Holiday Inn website but full when we arrived to check in I booked a room at the hotel and had confirmation it was booked. My husband and two young children arrived to be told despite booking the hotel was full and we couldn't stay. We spent nearly an hour very late at night with one tired and one sleeping child whilst staff went and checked thing and made phone calls but the conclusion was there wasn't a room at the hotel despite booking. The hotel staff were far from polite, some of the comments were, I quote "everyone is unhappy tonight", "there is nothing we can do we don't have a room" to which I was most unhappy and ask the member of staff to call another hotel as where were we supposed to sleep for the night. I had always thought if you booked a room it meant it was reserved for you but clearly not. The hotel staff did say there system had been down for 3 days and they had no idea who what was going on but I don't feel this was acceptable. August 23, 2014

I stay at this particular hotel around ten days a month and this usually wonderful hotel crashed and burned...... it was only the dedication of the staff that kept her afloat! August 22, 2014

As always the reception staff greet us with enthusiasm and make you feel like family members they have not seen for a while. Always friendly and helpful. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A pleasant, comfortable and friendly place to stay. We use this hotel 2-3 times a year as a base for visiting family in Kent. For us this works really well and as a bonus, our 12 year old grandson who accompanies us from Cornwall enjoys the swimming pool when we return to base in the evening. The breakfast is good and great value, served by friendly staff. The rooms with fridge and a TV are clean and comfortable serviced by an efficient and pleasant staff. We would recommend Holiday Inn both here and in other locations we have visited. August 18, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Night in Chatham Stayed overnight for a business meeting the next day. At check-in it was quite busy with a queue forming as I arrived at 3 in the afternoon. Had a problem with my rewards account, which the lady at check-in was very patient with but unable to resolve, which would have meant no internet, however she worked around that problem. Room was very comfortable, and mostly clean, except the mugs and spoons, which were clearly not cleaned or replaced. The hotel has a swimming pool (didn't use) and nice restaurant, and is very well decorated with comfortable surrounds. Not a cheap hotel, which charges for internet unless you are a rewards member, and over £12 for breakfast. Overall, quite a nice hotel but seriously overpriced August 18, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good room noisy vibrating alarm from next door I stay at the Holiday Inn every week for either 2 or 3 nights and have recently requested room 159 which has always been a quite room to be in, unfortunately my last stay was a little disturbed 2 out of the 3 mornings at 05:20 from one of the rooms surrounding me, not 59 or 161. Someone had obviously set their alarm for 05:20 but on the first occasion didn't silence it for 20 minutes by which time I was wide awake, the second morning the alarm was stopped after 5 minutes, and I got back to sleep. Overall my stays at the a Holiday Inn are pleasurably, and I must have been unlucky on this occasion. I have said it before the staff are both helpful and friendly always, see you next week. Had a good time in the swimming pool, both dinner and breakfast meals were superb! Looked after all three of us very well! All our needs catered for and made to feel valued! Always enjoy a very pleasant stay here! Special thanks to the Housekeeping team whom found the dolly our granddaughter left behind in the room and looked after it until our son collected it! Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff we encountered and we all felt relaxed, cared for nd comfortable throughout our stay. The quality of the food has also improved. We shall be back! Stayed for the 2014 international mini Meet and found the hotel nice in appearance and comfortable apart from the pillow ( Did end up buying one from local supermarket) All apart from the pillow and what felt like a mile walk to our room (Although very nice area of the hotel and peaceful) Hotel was very nice. I would also like to say the girl on reception on check-in had one of the nicest smiles I have seen for a long time and felt genuine. (All staff have been very friendly) It was overall very nice and comfortable and would consider going back to the hotel due to location and staff and how clean it all was. August 6, 2014

The room was booked well in advance and so they know our needs which wasn't a disabled room. I have stayed at various Holiday Inn's around the UK this is why I picked this one, plus I have stayed here once before. We did not have breakfast as we thought the price being charged was very expensive for what was on offer August 6, 2014
