Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly, attentive and comfortable Stayed at the Holiday Inn Rochester - Chatham on several occasions now, each time I have found the staff very attentive and the hotel standards to be excellent. The only thing that lets it down a little is the internet speed which can be very slow at times. Other plus sides are the swimming pool and fitness facilities. On a previous stay myself and a couple of colleagues took our bicycles, the hotel staff were more than happy to store the bikes behind reception so we didn't need to take them to our rooms on the evening, a very nice touch. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and lovely swimming pool. Enjoyed our stay. Hotel was pleasant and quite relaxing. However, a bit busy some evenings with nowhere left to sit in the bar/lounge area. Enjoyed breakfasts but was not overwhelmed with the one evening meal we had. Room was comfortable but we could have been left with more toilet rolls than we were. Also the mastic around the bath could have done with some mould spray! The chair in the room was not very comfortable, especially for my elderly mother. The TV could have had more channels, i.e. Freeview, rather than extra channels being ones you had to pay for. (Unless I read it all wrong)! But all in all it was quite a nice weekend stay. October 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good nights sleep Booked an Executive room, which just happened to be the furthest away from main hotel. There was a party going on - so pleased we couldnt hear the music. The room itself had what you wanted but was 'tired'. The towels were not soft and fluffy, but bitty and hard. The sofa was looking old and the covers 'stretched' in places and baggy in other areas. However, the bed was very comfy and pillows soft. A good nights sleep had. Breakfast was adequate and filling. I asked for porridge and it was specially made for me. Again tasty and filling. Probably been spoilt using other 'executive' rooms in other Holiday Inns. But the staff are very friendly and helpful. An asset to the hotel. September 29, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed expereince I am a platinum member and have stayed in many IHG hotels, so am generally a fan of the IHG service model. However my experience at Chatham over a 2 night stay was rather disappointing. I was staying in an executive room and the bathroom did not look like it had been cleaned even to a basic standard and toilettes were missing. The executive room corridor smells as if people had been smoking in the corridor, this was evident across the two days. The staff at breakfast were very attentive and friendly, reception was a more mixed experience. September 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Smoking a problem We had to endure smoking at the entrance to the hotel and we were placed next to a smoking room in the hotel so we experienced smoking as we entered the passage adjacent to our room. This would prevent us from staying at this hotel again unless it was the only hotel available in the area. It spoilt my assessment of your hotel that would have been excellent. September 23, 2015
