Couldn't have been happier with everything. The hotel and room were sparkling clean and the bed was comfortable. We took our rental back to the airport the night before our early morning flight, and the shuttle was there to pick us up, and take us back to the hotel in about 5 minutes.

I am a platinum member with IHG, in the past I have experienced wonderful hotels with equally fabulous hospitality, including my most recent trip to the Philippines. Our trip to Rochester, earlier this week was extremely disappointing. The hotel was very run down, the hallways were a mess and the rooms were very old. we had one towel for 3 persons, there was dirty kleenex under the liners of the garbage cans and the washroom floor definitely wasn't vacuumed in months! And, there was no fridge in the room. We were not impressed and so pleased that we only had one night in this hotel. Definitely a change from what we have experienced with IHG in the past.

There was a lot of renovation construction going on when I visited, so some problems might be related to this. There were minor items with my room, like the clock not working, but others in the group had big problems with theirs like carpets that were soaking wet. Some left and went to other hotels. I don't believe I got the room I reserved and paid for (2 queen executive, but just seemed like a regular two bed room). The walls are thin so I could hear my loud neighbors very clearly. The staff were very nice and helpful, but many seemed new and inexperienced.
