Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good location This hotel is in a good location that is about all that good about it. We have stayed at this hotel twice (due to being a rewards club member) and I can't say I was impressed either time. The first time we were awoken at 2:30 AM with the fire alarm going off due to some other guests. This time we were here to attend our daughters college graduation. I had forgotten that the closet doors only open about 6 inches it is very hard to get your clothes in and out and I can't imagine if I would have needed to use the iron. The bathroom is very small. We only had a bottle of lotion and one bar of soap and we made the reservation for 4 adults and only had 3 towels. The restaurant was sub-par at best, my eggs benedict was very over cooked eggs (Really hard boiled ) with a funky tasting hollandaise sauce on top. My son had pancakes which were very thin and under cooked and his sausage were very over cooked. The staff would not come near our table he would stand about 3 feet away to talk to us and even when he came to serve our food. We were not asked at the end of breakfast how everything was I think they knew it wasn't good. May 17, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Heating/Air System I arrived May and the temp in my room was 78 degrees. I called the front desk at 8:30 pm and was told maintenance would be "right up." 1.5 hours I called again because maintenance had not even called my room. The receptionist said that 4 other rooms had also called about it being so hot and maintenance had just informed her that the hotel uses a two pipe system for heating and air, and the hotel's heating pipe was still on. The receptionist should tell people to turn off their thermostats and open their windows to cool their rooms down. That would have good information to have upon arrival, but not at 10 pm when it's time for bed because the street sounds would keep you awake all night if you left the windows open all night. I did delay my bedtime by 30 minutes, turned off the thermostat May 12, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just okay Older hotel in need of updating. Non-smoking room smelled of old smoke. The location is excellent, the room was small and underwhelming. Bed was comfy but pillows were not. Front desk staff was pleasant. It's unfortunate that this hotel is the premium IHG property in Rochester. May 2, 2016
