My wife, four kids and I were under abnormal circumstances when we stayed at this hotel. We hit an elk on the highway. The Holiday Inn was the fourth hotel we tried as the other three were full. The front desk staff, maintenance, and housekeeping were all so friendly, attentive to our needs, and regularly went way above and beyond to help us.
The rooms were very clean and definitely more spacious than other similar hotels we've stayed at. With 6 people in one room, it gets pretty tight. It wasn't too bad here.
The lobby was beautiful, the grounds were well kept, and I can't say enough about management and the obvious commitment that they have to modeling and leading excellent customer service.
If you're ever in Rock Springs, stay at this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

The title says it all. They know they've got oil field business, so they're making money whether they provide a good service or not, so they just don't seem to be trying. If this hotel was competing for tourism business, there's no way this hotel could compete. The staff isn't bad, they all seemed nice, but they're poorly trained, check in takes forever because of it, and they can't help you with anything beyond accidentally locking yourself out of your room (they didn't even check my ID before issuing me a new key though, so not very security conscious). It is painfully obvious that nobody in management is paying attention to this hotel; everything and everybody is on auto pilot. Most of this could be forgiven if I could get work done like I need to, but the wifi connection is garbage, barely working at best, and completely useless most of the time, so I had to go to my truck and turn on my cell phone booster just to send e-mails. I've stayed here a half dozen times in the past year, and it's gotten worse each time. I'll be looking for a different hotel on my next trip.
