Stayed here overnight prior to flying out of FCO airport. Hotel was easy to find and convenient to airport. Room was comfortable, however we were given a smoking room. Smoke smell was an issue, Hotel tax caught me off guard at check out as it was significantly more than any other hotel we stayed at on vacation. Also thought we had free breakfast in our rate, but was told otherwise at check in. I would stay here again, but would make sure I knew what the charges are beforehand.

Good sized rooms and comfortable stay. Parking was good, but location directions should be more clear.

The hotel itself is fine, but the area is rather dodgy, certainly in the evening / at night.
The pool is nice but it is a shame you can't use it before 10 AM! So no morning swim...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tvaillan Great hotel at an affordable price
My teenage children and I had a great stay at this hotel. The front desk staff were very helpful and patient with stressed out, tired and nervous travelers. The hotel is outside of Rome City Center, so travelers must rely on public transportation, but the hotel offers an affordable shuttle to a convenient stop on the city's Metro. The hotel also offers a private airport shuttle, a bar and restaurant, but the prices are quite high so we made other arrangements.
Overall, what is excellent about this hotel is
* day time shuttle to and from Metro.
Notes about this hotel
* must rely on public transportation.
* shuttle service to and from Metro ends at 9:00 p.m.
* airport shuttle service from hotel is expensive.

We moved to the Holiday Inn Aurelia after spending two days at the De La Ville Roma Intercontinental Hotel for a more peaceful relaxing five days, The hotel is saturated in the suburbs of Rome and is only short metro ride away to city sights with trains running every 10minutes. The hotel runs a shuttle bus to the metro station, Battistini, line A. There is a charge of 3 Euros for the return trip the only problem is there is a gap in the time table after the 1030 bus from the hotel until 1530. The hotel will soon arrange a taxi in between this time if required and taxi normally arrives within five minutes, taxi fare to station costs between 12 & 15 euros depending on traffic. The hotel has a nice pool with sun loungers and offers pool service. The bar offers a variety of snacks and beverages at a reasonable price. All the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and offered good WIFI connection. The hotel is used by tour companies for overnight accommodation so the reception area can come a bit congested when the coaches arrive early evening. And a queue can form for the lifts. The accommodation is split between two wings.
