The front desk was staffed by a very nice gentleman named Michael who helped me check in and in the morning pointed me in the right direction to catch a shuttle to the airport.
The room was very comfy and quiet. My only complaint (a tiny one), is that the curtains didn't quite stay together and I ended up sticking them together with scotch tape for privacy purposes.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

We were a very late arrival due to flight delay. Staff was very accommodating and courteous. Very comfortable and quiet hotel considering proximity to airport. Great stay for emergency situation.

We stayed here the night before a very early flight. I requested a 4:15am wake up call. We did not receive any call. Fortunately, my husband woke up at about 4:45am, and we were able to make our flight. While the hotel is very nice, and the parking for the airport was very convenient, I was very disappointed in the staff. When I reported our lack of wake up call to the clerk upon check out, his only answer was, "Oh."

We really enjoyed this hotel for a brief stop awaiting a plane to travel elsewhere. Food was really terrific and the convenience of a sports bar was very much appreciated. The rooms are huge and comfortable. All amenities worked very well. We will return one day soon ... Thanks to the excellent staff!

Sometimes when you stay overnight to fly the next day all you want is a good room and decent restaurant. Well this hotel has both ... nice room, solid staff welcoming you, and good food with appropriate refreshments. Just fine! We will do this again soon.

I am a Platinum member, so have stayed at a few different IHG properties. I had to catch an early flight out of Detroit Metro, so stayed one night here to ease the travel. The room was excellent, well-decorated and bigger than I had expected. Check-in and check-out were problem-free. Staff were pleasant and efficient. I would absolutely stay here again if the need arises.

This Holiday Inn is very nicely done. Looks great, rooms were clean, staff polite, lobby areas very nice also. Overall, a very well maintained property.
We did not eat there, however they do have a bar/lounge area as well as a pool which we also did not use. We chose to go to an Italian restaurant just down the street as we wanted to try it out.
Very good location if you are traveling out of metro airport the next day. Would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed the night before early flights twice now and both times it was WONDERFUL. We arrived fairly late, but the jacuzzi was open for a relaxing soak before bed. They gave us our 4 am wake up call, we drove to the parking lot and shuttled to the airport. It couldn't have been easier. I really saved us a lot of hassle.

When it comes to comfort and convenience, I ALWAYS look forward to staying at the DTW Airport Holiday Inn. The lobby has a smart, modern feel to it. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and homey. I can really relax and get a good night's sleep before a big day of meetings or a long flight back home.
I absolutely love the restaurant. I make it a point to dine at the restaurant not only when I am staying at the hotel, but also when I am just passing through the area.
I stay in hotels a lot for both business and pleasure. This particular Holiday Inn is one of my favorite places to call "home" for a night or two.

We were stuck at the airport (though we have a house nearby) and decided that we'd stay at the Holiday Inn--DTW. It was wonderful! We were out our 8:00Pm flight one night and got on an 8:08 flight the next night. We enjoyed an extended check out (for Priority Club Members) til 2. We had a wonderful breakfast late in the morning, then bloody marys in the room when the bar opened at 11. This couldn't have been a nicer stay. Even the snacks on check-in were appreciated, after being shafted by the airlines.

I stayed at this hotel on the wekeend of January 5th - 6th and then again on the following weekend January 12th - 13th. The first stay was excellent, the room very comfortable and refurbished with HD television. The second weekend was extremely disappointing. The room did not have the same standard and the television was not HD so I only received a few channels. I was disappointed by the inconsistency in quality. The hotel is good but for me it was somewhat of a "lottery" and depended on which room I got! And put a TV in the fitness room please!!!

Nice Holiday Inn property. Stayed for easy access to airport the next morning. Room included parking for the week. Nice to have access to our car in the morning. Parking van picked us up immediately.

The service at the retaurant was unbelievabling poor and the food quality matched....i left the restaurant after a 1/2 hour when no one brought my bill...i just told the hostess...bill my room.

I travel alot for my job so I stay in many hotels. This Holiday Inn is among the top five Holiday Inn's I have ever stayed at. The staff was very nice and pleasant. The rooms were up to date and extremely clean and the housekeeping staff did a great job with cleaning my room every day. The bathroom is very spacious and the nice roomy stand-up shower was great! Although I had a rental car, the hotel does offer a shuttle service to and from the airport, so if any one plans on coming to the Detroit area keep that in mind.
There is a bar attached to the hotel and offers a great variety of beer and food. The food was a little pricey, but it was very good (not typical bar food). I didn't mind the prices as it is better than driving around town looking for a place to eat. The bartenders were very nice as well!
Only issue I had was the wireless internet. Many times while reading things and clicking on a link the Holiday Inn home page always displayed and you would have to hit the back button and click the link again. It did get annoying as I stayed there for a week, but if the interent was my only problem then I consider this trip a success.
Again, this is one of the best Holiday Inn's I have ever stayed at and have stayed at many across North America!

easy to find from the highway and nice to have maps preprinted at the desk.

Sound insulation is poor. Rooms above me started running water and flushing at 4:30 AM. It was loud enough in the wall next to the bed to keep me awake.
Asked for a wake up call. Didn't happen.
I have stayed at competitors' hotels that were better in many ways, for less money; and a complimentary breakfast was include at those properties.

The hotel building is in great shape and the decor is very pleasing. The restaurant and catering are not up to par, however. The service was slow and the food was mediocre.

For a hotel near an airport this is about as good as you can get. Rooms are quiet, no aircraft noise, very clean, comfortable beds, spacious, can't say anything negative about anything at this hotel. The Sports Bar and restaurant were very good, and the bar was open after 1 am which is unheard of in many hotel bars. If you need to stay near Detroit Metro this is the place.

I stayed for two nights / three days at this hotel. The first night, the thermostat in my room didn't work, and I had no heat---it was 64 degrees in the room. After waiting 75 minutes, the woman at the reception desk moved me to another room down the hall. The meals at the adjoining bar / restaurant were absolutely terrible....Cobb salad with brown, wilted lettuce, minimal amount of burned bits of bacon, a stale tasting roll with margarine instead of butter---The whole thing was a disaster. In the morning, I ordered the breakfast special while informing the server I was leaving soon and time was an issue. I waited seventeen minutes for eggs, dry toast, etc....I travel on business often and stay in many hotels. The whole experience has made me decide I'll definitely not return to this location.

Stayed recently at this hotel and really liked it. Very modern furnishings, great pool and weight room. The rooms themselves had a modern motif to them, along with a great flat screen tv and the wifi was strong and free. There is a restaurant tied to the hotel that had great service, good food and value priced. My only complaint was that I came down in the morning to grab coffee in the lobby, but it was empty at 8am? I sat and met with my colleague for 25 mins and no one checked the coffee or refilled it. We had to go into the restaurant to get a cup.
Other than that, I'd definitely stay there again.
