the property was not as clean as it should have been the carpet didn't seem to vacuum in days, and the main desk should have had fresh flower. A hotel that is forgotten. what a shame. the forgotten place.

Simple, clean, comfortable, cordial staff at reservations and at front desk. Order the fillet mignon for dinner. Staying there overnight to attend conferences. Just fine for that purpose.

I don't know if it was off season for this hotel or just a bad time . The rooms were clean enough, but worn in appearance and poorly arranged. I needed to be moved to another room because of a leak in the ceiling in the bathroom. The new room was in the same condition, loose grab bar in the shower, water stains, poorly fit replacement tiles in the bathroom.
The restaurant was nice and had good food. The beds and pillows were awesome as usual, but the stay overall was lacking. There are other better Holiday Inns I'm sure, pick one of those.

Normally a great HI to stay in. This time was a let-down.
1) No recognition of my Platinum Status on check-in, or throughout stay. (It's usually good for SOMETHING!)
2) Check-in didn't register me (or my co-worker) correctly. We had provided a govt tax-exempt form, but it wasn't entered properly, so it took several people 20+ minutes to correct our bills at check-out.
3) There had been a TREMENDOUS snow storm (that's what we were there for), but very little was done during the day, when the lots were for the most part empty, to remove snow.
I'll be back, because it's usually a great HI, but I was disappointed with this visit......

I've been staying here for years and its always been just ok, food is just ok, bartenders are fine, but sometimes you have to shout to them to break them away from long conversations. Breakfast staff could be more engaging. Service/atmosphere at front desk is usually very good. Rooms are just OK, not a lot of attention paid to detail, ie occasional peeling wallpaper, lack of outlets, outdated furnishings and bathroom. Stairwells are smelly. Surprised to hear the other review of no hot water, I had same issue last week-months after the other review. Mgr made a modest comp which was nice but I wonder if they're buying off the real problems that might cost much more.
So as long as you're ok with just ok, like me, then this is fine for what you pay for this area. Heat and a/c always works and beds/bathroom are clean, mattresses are good too. Like other comments its a very convenient location next to airport and central LI. I think IHG Mgmt should stop applying bandaids here and start the phased ground up make over asap.

Rooms are good. Internet was terrible! And menu should be revamped. So many business people eating at bar, but food is just ok. Too easy to walk across street to Applebee's.
