The hotel was nice business associate recommended it. I only have two real gripes, the bed in my room was the most uncomfortable thing I have slept in. Might just need a flip or so etching but caused my back great difficulty. I did use the hotel restaurant which left me very frustrated at the end of the experience. They were very busy and looked understaffed for the crowd that was in that night. The server knew I was not happy about the service that night. I did get a beverage on the house. The next night though they redeemed themselves the service was outstanding. I am staying her again, so we will see what happens.

Usually stay on the north side of the Loop when we visit, but preferred hotels were booked. Chose this hotel as it was at a good price point and about the same distance to family. Our late arrival found the lobby and bar area to be busy and it took a few minutes to get checked in. Desk clerk was apologetic about the wait and quickly checked us in. Our room was spacious and quiet, nicely decorated. We did the breakfast buffet both mornings, found a nice selection of food, both hot and cold. The restaurant was busy, but the wait staff was attentive. Parking is free, but can be difficult to find a space if there is an event going on.

We went to Chicago on vacation. This Holiday Inn was located close to our family members. We stayed there for two separate nights and found it to be centrally located to restaurants and local shopping. The room was nicely furnished and clean.

One thing that stood out for me was how nice and accommodating the staff was. I had lost my phone charger, and they kindly let me charge my phone at the front desk.
Another example was one morning when my husband and I went in for the buffet breakfast near the end of breakfast time. They had just run out of scrambled eggs, and there weren't any other guests in the restaurant. Our server kindly offered that we order our eggs freshly made, while still getting the rest of our breakfast from the buffet.
Things like that make a great impression!

The Holiday Inn name should give people peace of mind. This facility met that challenge. Clean, comfortable room & bed, great Bar Louie restaurant/bar connected to the hotel, friendly staff, & only one block from a major freeway that can get you from Skokie to the Magnificent Mile in only 20 minutes!

While value, service and amenities were fine the hotel infrastructure is desperately in need of being completely redone from the floors to the ceilings.

I do not normally stay at Holiday Inn's but I could not find a better hotel near I-94. I was very impressed with the staff and swimming pool. If I am ever back in Skokie, I will stay again.

We usually stay at another Hotel when in the area. However, due to location, took a chance - especially with the rates (without breakfast) We were very happy with all- and enjoyed a wonderful economical breakfast next to the Inn--right out the front door.--we felt very safe and will stay here on all future visits--.

I stayed 5 nights at Holiday Inn Skokie for a recent conference. I had a great room right off the main lobby with easy access to the front desk, Bar Louie Restaurant and the meeting rooms. Room had a refrigerator and microwave for late night snacks and keeping cold drinks in the room, a nice feature. The free breakfast was nice every morning and the food at Bar Louie was great, I recommend the Brisket Sliders and Whiskey Cake. Only downside was not having AMC on the TV cable so I was unable to watch my favorite show on Sunday nights, Halt and Catch Fire. All told a good experience.

My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant downstairs has decent food and excellent wine. Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall a good experience.
There are a few areas they could improve on. It seems that the breakfast buffet is only available when they have enough guests to validate having it. This makes sense but there is no communication with the guests as to what days this buffet will be available. It is helpful to know in order to budget the amount of time it takes to get breakfast and leave for work.
It is also very odd that the thermostats in the room have to be adjusted by house keeping.

I was down there for my daughter's basketball and they were awesome from the front counter, to the restaurant the service was excellent the only thing I was unhappy was the cleaning crew one of the staff at 8am on check out day which was noon knock once and then open the door while I was just getting up that to me was not right so for next time put do not disturbed so they don't open the door. The was the only problem but everything else was excellent. Defiantly would go back.

The entry to this particular Inn is just exceptional. Elegant fountains, patterned walkways all enhance the experience of staying at a beloved Holiday Inn. My husband and I always choose Holiday Inn wherever we go...including the one in London! We know what to expect...exceptional service, cleanliness, comfort and attention to detail. This Chicago location has all of this and more. This is definitely a destination vacation location!

This room should be closed. The motor room next to it makes a rumbling sound that will wake up most people many times during the night....... as it did with us. Probably won't be back. Close the room and I hope the other rooms are quieter ... if not close the whole floor.

The beds and pillows were great and we all slept well. Only real issue we had was in dealing with front desk. We asked for directions to get down into Chicago (which 'L' train to take, where to get off for certain sights, etc.) and the front desk staff knew less about riding the 'L' and the bus system than we did as tourists. I understand we were in the suburbs and not in Chicago proper, but the front desk staff at any hotel within 20 miles of Chicago should be able to tell you what trains to get on, etc., for the main tourist attractions.

I have had an acceptable stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It is an acceptable stay for 2-3 days. Will stay again in future as I visit my child in college nearby

I had to change rooms. The first had a toilet that didn't work. I lifted the tank lid and the mechanism was rusted, tank wouldn't fill. Next room had a soaking wet rug near the air conditioner/heat unit.

My stay a this Holiday Inn was not good. The room had no outside window. The only window it had was one that overlooked another part of the hotel on the inside with no natural light at all. It was very hot and the air conditioning unit was rigged so that you could not adjust it. It was set a low and it was blowing out warm air. It made for a very uncomfortable stay.

Service was excellent. We went to the bar Saturday evening and the bar tender wanted us to have a $25 minimum since there was a fight on, however the manager came over and said these people just want a couple of drinks they do not care about the fight.

I never experienced bad customer service like this in my life. Toilet leak. I notified customer service this problem. Technician came, spend an hour then said can't fix it. They told me to move it to one bedroom room even though we booked for 2 bedroom . We said no. Then he said "it is my decision to go one bedroom". We didn't move it. We asked for a manager. Then he offered a 2 bedroom in a smoking area. We forced to move to smoking area even though we all had asthma. What a horrible experience!!! So please don't select this hotel in your life. Attitude of Customer service representatives are horrible. Amenities and room layout is poor.
