Don't stay here. Go to the Holiday Inn Express in Alpharetta instead- trust me!
I've stayed at numerous Holiday Inns (in addition to other IHG properties) in the last few years, and I have never had an issue with them, until now. The rooms at this Holiday Inn were so gross (and I would not consider myself picky when it comes to hotels).
I switched from my original room because it had no desk, and was put into another one only to realize I would have had an issue in any of the rooms. First, the smell of the rooms is awful. The hotel must have previously been a smoking hotel because that's what it smells like- musty cigarette smoke. Second, all of the appliances were definitely from the early 1990s, if not 80s, and were a faded yellow color. Even the vending machines downstairs were "vintage".
Anyway, I tried to ignore the smell and go to bed, so went into the bathroom to wash up and noticed that the hairdryer had a sticky film all over it, with a few long hairs stuck to it. That was the last straw for me. I couldn't stand it, so I left the hotel and booked at another chain in the area. When I told the gentleman at the front desk, he didn't even offer to refund my money or do anything about the situation. All he said was that he'd "let them know", whoever "them" was supposed to be. I will say though, that the lady that originally checked me in and helped with the room switch was very nice, and I could tell she felt bad.

I'd recommend this location for cleanliness and safety, but the walls / doors allowed a lot of neighborly noise in. Also, the air conditioning units are very loud and it made it hard to sleep.

Don't stay at this hotel if you enjoy sleep or quality service
