Perfect location and excellent room for our mini vacation! My lady and I enjoyed our stay thoroughly in the middle of a fantastic weekend together. We will definitely be back!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jwa986 Convenient comfort
My room faced north, with closeby freeway just west of the hotel. Traffic noise on the 14th floor was barely perceptible and not a sleep factor. Mattress was excellent with no apparent wear. Surprisingly, elevator calls were always filled very quickly. No refrigerator in the room, but was provided on request, no charge. Receptionist said "its an old building, the electrical system wouldn't support one in every room."
Restaurant offers a pleasant outdoor patio adjacent to the pedestrian path that leads directly to Old Town, via a tunnel under street and freeway. The occasional homeless character detracted from that convenience.
Downtown one-ways made garage exit a little slow during traffic peaks, but a small issue.
Great location and comfortable. Very responsive staff.

I was disappointed with my overall stay from housekeeping, amenities, to the food selection in the Café. Disappointed because I've stayed in other Holiday Inn Hotels and never had a problem. Only good thing was the hotel is close to Old Sacramento, walking distances.

I would have preferred to be informed that I would be receiving a room outfitted for a person with disabilities BEFORE being issued the room. I think that the particular employee at check-in had POOR customer service, but he is the exception. The rest of the staff members were helpful and nice.
I didn't like how the menu for room service and the restaurant are NOT available online... REALLY??!? The rooms are NOT equipped with mini fridges and there is waitlist. I have no idea how the waitlist works.
The food is mediocre. Walk to Old Sacramento or the downtown area for better food, it's worth the minimal effort for much better food!

This is a good hotel for business in downtown Sacramento. Friendly, efficient staff, easy access to the Capitol and Old Town. amenities are more than what you would expect at a Holiday Inn, and everything was clean and tidy.
