James and Tiffany are amazing and deserve raises, as well as Angel. They were helpful and thoughtful and kind! I love staying here and the only reason is because of these guys!!! Especially James who always accommodates my needs and makes me feel like I'm home!!!

The hotel looked great in the website but found out the truth when I checked in. The hotel needs update like: new carpet in the rooms and bathroom. This hotel is ok for a quick night but not for pleasure. On my next visit to New York and Jersey I will look into other options.

An older property that could use a face lift but the size if this hotel (8 floors) means it's an expensive job. The room we were in was OK with a nice TV and almost all hi-def channels. The bathroom was very small with just a small ledge of counter space barely big enough to hole your toiletries. We were 3 in the room but despite picking up 3 towels the room person only left 2 and I had to find another towel every day. I had requested a roll away bed when I booked the room but naturally it wasn't there so I had to wait for it but it was brought promptly. It was awful sleeping in it - the thinnest mattress ever. I had to move the chair to make room for it and there was somebodies earring on the floor. I didn't use the restaurant (hey, you're in NY. Who wants to eat in a hotel?) but the coffee urn by the desk always had coffee. The employees at the desk would occasionally give you a nod but seemed more concerned with talking to each other that how your stay was going. The exercise room was OK but there was no remote for the TV. I wasn't crazy about the location. There is nothing around there and your access is mainly from the highway. Fine if you're using I-80 but if you're coming or going on the Parkway you have to pay tolls. Couldn't figure out a way to get there using streets. The price for this hotel was reasonable but like I said, you get what you pay for.

This is our second stay at this hotel - the second after a 10-year gap. The hotel is easily accessible, convenient to NYC and has good rates. Having the Holiday Inn name, I am assured of certain standards, and that is the reason for booking it 10 years ago and again now. We had two rooms for a family of six and they met our expectations. The building did show some aging - probably not renovated in the ten years since we were there and that is the only reason for not giving it a 5. The staff is excellent and the breakfast experience was super. Despite the large crowd that was staying there the night before, the ladies did an outstanding job serving everyone. Overall, great buy for the money!

The hotel is ok if you need some private space in order to take care of some paperwork but if you plan to use the bath you had better be careful. on two occasions they gave me the same room, I complained the first time because the water in the bath tub wouldn't go down the second time I arrived and was given the same room and at that time was told the tub had been repaired. THE TUB WATER STILL DIDN'T GO DOWN THE DRAIN! I had some paper work to do and needed some alone time in order to do it in a hurry so I went the 3rd time. Upon check in I was given the same room so I asked the girl if they had another room because of the issues instead of her saying something a guest would want to hear she said if there is a problem come back and I will assign another room (like this would not be an inconvenience ) Well I don't know if the tub was backed up or not because there was long brown hair inside and outside of the tub so I couldn't use it anyway.

We arrived in the evening (around 9 pm) the entrance smelled like urine. The front desk attendant was looking at a girl's rear end instead of greeting me.
The elevators are looking old (wood is scratch, handles are scratched too). The patio door was clapping a lot (when we open/close the room's door. We had to put a towel between them to stop the clapping.
Beds were ok I guess.
The breakfast was included with the night. Overall it was good except for the eggs.
The week before, I stayed in an Holiday Inn near south Philadelphia that was WAY better for a little more.

This hotel is worse than a Motel 6. We were over charged at the front desk from what we were quoted on the phone. There were NO fridge or micro in the room. When we asked they attempted to charge us for that as well. No one recongnized us as Platinum members and when I brought that up to them they just said "sorry I guess you don't have stay here".
The carpets in the hallways were dirty and thread bare. Every ice machine except the one on the first floor were broken.
We were scheduled to stay 3 nights, but left after the first night of horrible service and value that this caused a huge issue with my travel and business appointments.
When I attempted to address these issues with the manager and desk staff they just gave me a bad attatude. We will never stay here again.
I am shocked that Holiday Inn corporate name is even on this hotel at all.

Location is good--a bit odd to get to, though, with the toll interchanges. Property is badly in need of rennovation--has large rooms that are OK, but the halls and common areas need a lot of work--decor seems to be from the 70's or 80's and show the wear and tear from this era as well. Pool is nice, but excercise room is poor, and restaurant is, well, very subpar. Staff is nice in general. When we were there, 2 of the 3 elevators were out of order, and quite honestly, based upon the condition of the third, I kind of expected to be stuck at some point in time on the one that was working.
Overall, if I were traveling on business and needed to spend a few hours in a convenient place, I would consider this, but for a leisure or family trip, probably not.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Saddle Brook the 07/25/13-07/27/13. The hotel room and the location were pretty good but it was the staff that made our trip. I wish I would have taken their names, they went above and beyond for us. When we travel to the area next time we will definitely be staying there!

This whole property is old, dark & dingy. Room was rather small. Bathroom was even smaller. Shower very difficult to enter when shower is on. Only 2 sets of towels provided. Customer elevators were out of service...had to wait for more than 10 minutes for service elevator. "Restaurant" was a joke....10 tables at best. Went for free breakfast buffet in morning and was seated at a table for 4. The table was apparently occupied just prior to my arrival and 2 places at the table were still dirty. Nobody was cleaning tables at all. It's somewhat unbelievable that this property has been able to maintain the Holiday Inn name. Usually Holiday Inn properties are held to a much higher standard than this hotel currently exhibits.

As always, we found our stay at the Saddle Brook Holiday Inn to be more than pleasant. The rooms are comfortable, clean, with enough outlets for multiple electronics.
The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices, with a great wait staff.
Will definitely stay here again!!

This hotel is very run down. The elevator, common areas and the bathroom. The front desk seemed very stressed.
I am a platium member but did not recieve a welcome gift or even reconized. The condition of this hotel does not meet the expectation, of a 1 star hotel.

Myself and 4 other colleagues stayed at this hotel for a business trip to visit a customer for a upcoming project. We chose this establishment based on the proximity to the customer. We arrived on Tuesday 4/9/13 early evening. Upon arriving there was no one at the front desk to check-in. An employee presumably a maintenance person was standing at the end of the desk looking into the office. He acknowledged us but did not move to the office to alert someone that we were standing there. After about 5 minute I walked to the end of the desk a young lady came out of the office to finally assist us with checking-in. When I went to the end of the desk she was on a cell phone. We checked-in and proceeded to our rooms to settle in. We had shipped an expensive piece of test equipment to the hotel. I inquired with the same young lady if there was a package waiting for us. She looked at a small stack of mail and said that was all she had. I respectfully told hear the approximate size of the box and asked her to please check again. She went into the office and returned stating that it had not arrived. Concerned that it was lost in shipping I checked the UPS tracking and it indicated that the package was indeed delivered and a proof of delivery was available. I then respectfully requested that the front desk attendee check again for the package as it was signed. With a little bit of reluctance she did and returned with the package in just a short time from the office. I wondered to myself why she didn't find it before, but then returned to my room. Our travel team decided to eat at the restaurant at the bar in the hotel to prevent having to leave that evening. We met at the bar and the bartender was not efficient in taking orders nor customer service. She spent most of the time counting money from the cash register. Average time to fill a beer order was 12 minutes. The bar only had 10 guest and 5 of them were with our party. All parties were drinking beer and no one ordered mixed drinks. The food that we ordered was marginal at best. I personally ordered the eggplant ptarmigan that had an under cooked cold bed of noodles and unflavorful sauce. The nest example of poor service was during breakfast the next morning. The waitress asked if I wanted coffee. When I responded "Yes, Please." She pointed at a coffee carafe on the table and walked away. I was with two of the five in our party and they had already ordered, but I thought she would at least pour the first cup. This is common restaurant customer service. She then went over to the bar where the television was on a Spanish speaking channel and proceeded to watch it with another employee. Halfway into our meal she asked if we had meal tickets. We replied that we di and she waited for us to hand them to her instead of waiting until we had finished the me and brought our bill. I don't know if this is poor training or poor customer service skills, but I have never had that type of customer service from a restaurant and bar. The final act of poor service happened at check out. We needed to return the box we had shipped. We had arranged for a Prepaid UPS pickup. The box needed to be sealed but I did not pack any tape. The gentleman at the front desk said that he would gladly tape it up and make sure it was picked up. Today marked one week since we checked-out and the box had not arrived. I called the hotel and it was indicated that the box was still there. I inquired if UPS had been there since last Thursday and it was stated that they had been. I then just about dropped the phone and politely asked that they make sure they give the box to the driver the next time a delivery is made. Not trusting the hotel our shipping manager decided to contact UPS and scheduled a pick-up. TO give the hotel it's due the room was acceptable and the location to where the facility was is close. However, we will beginning the project in early July and regretfully will not be using this facility based upon the poor service that we received. We typically book 10 to 12 rooms based upon the size of the project for multiple extended stays.

Greeted by the hotel manager who had a blue vest with disgusting white salt/sweat stains all around the armpit. Room clean and nice. Alarm went off announcing that there was an emergency in the building and everyone needed to get out of the building and do not use elevator. Had to walk down 7 flights of stairs in a semi panic only to have the manager say that they were testing a new alarm system. No heads up and no apology. He acted like business as usual. Angel was at the desk in the morning and was very professional and friendly. Breakfast was good

When I arrived, the fire alarm was going off and no one was concerned.
I asked for a wake up call and it was never made.
I asked for a page to be scan to a thumb drive that I had, the staff could not or did not know how to do it.
The business center is minimal.
The pool was nice and warm. There is not a hot tub.

The staff are always willing to exceed my expectation while I stayed at the Holiday Inn. the location is great for travelers, and my wife and I had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and that was very good. and the staff gave us a pass for a free breakfast, is that cool or what? I would defiantly return to this hotel, the furniture are a little dated, and the rooms could use some update but trust me the staff will made up for the building short comings.

The room is very dated and is in need of repair. The bathtub faucet would not shut off and was Running, not dripping so loudly you had to shut the bathroom door to sleep. It had been doing it for quite some time as the tub had rust stains.
The wall paper was falling off the wall in the bathroom and there was a chunk of drywall on the floor that had also been there for a long time.
On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the Flat screen Television was easy to see and use.
