We checked in rather late and noticed the lounge was rocking. We didn't think anything about it and proceeded to our room to sleep. We had driven 500 miles, were exhausted and just wanted to sleep. Upon entering our room, the hvac unit was sounding like a 747 engine. The desk chair had a loose arm and severely pinched my wife's arm. We shut it off the heater and went to sleep. Shortly there after, other guests (rude, obnoxious, inconsiderate, loud and other words I don't want to say) must have come up from the lounge after consuming much alcohol. Needless to say, they woke us up. My daughter & I opened or room door and observed 5 people were having a great time in the hall talking at full volume and slamming doors as they entered & exited their room, which was directly across from our room. She asked them to be quiet because we are trying to sleep, which at 2am, is pretty obvious. They quieted down for a few minutes then raised the volume, TVs were cranked up in adjacent rooms. We decided to turn on the 747 engine to drown out the ruckus. At 7a kids started running up and down the hallway. Luckily I was the only one that woke up. When we checked out (we had a dog and paid the 25 pet fee) I asked it the (see above) across the hall were being charged a pet fees because they acted like animals! I asked if this establishment had video cameras in the halls. Clerk at front desk said yes. I inquired if anyone was watching it last night. Obviously no one was or else they would have come up to the floor and bust up the "hall party". I would not recommend this hotel and would rather sleep in my car! This has left a rather sour taste regarding the IHG chain and I am seriously considering other hotels when I travel.

This is our second stay at this Holiday Inn in Salisbury. The room was very comfortable and we love the fact they have queen size beds when most hotels have only double beds. The room was very large and spacious. The staff is courteous and very helpful. We will continue stay here as long as our child is at Salisbury U. The rate we paid for this room was excellent. We highly recommend this hotel.

Sha is fabulous! He was a wonderful person to deal with and went out of his way to make us feel welcome.Every request I made of him he fulfilled with a smile and did it promptly. I was presently surprised one morning as I was filling my to-go coffee cup in the lobby when he offered to fill it from the fresh pot in the kitchen! That was above and beyond and I was very impressed. Don't let this one get away. He is a real asset to your hotel

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Holiday Inn in Transition???
This is a beautiful hotel. A bit hard to access depending on the direction to approach the hotel. But located near Peninsula Regional Medical Center, which was perfect for our purpose.
I requested additional pillow when we arrived as my husband had had eye surgery and was to sleep propped up. The extra pillows never arrived. Luckily I found an extra one in the closet.
The wake up call the next morning indicated it was a Ramada Inn (not Holiday Inn). We mentioned this at the desk and it was obvious they had heard it many times before.
We are Priority Card members, therefore, received a coupon toward the cost of breakfast. The coupon stated Breakfast started at 6:30 a.m. They actually opened the area at 7:00 a.m. and the desk clerk took our order as the breakfast person hadn't "come down stairs" yet. She arrived about 7:30 or so. I recommend the Blueberry pancakes, they were great. My husband's Eggs Benedict, he said didn't have much taste. It looked good, so it may be a matter of taste.
The site is quite spacious, but sort of in a transition period it appears.
