Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Old and dark The hotel is old and some of the interior areas are dark. The lights are turned off in a large portion of the interior complex at night. The last two rooms I have been in were not up to the quality that I have come accustomed to in Holiday Inn Express properties. March 12, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Smelly rooms I have stayed at this motel many times, and have always liked the stay and people. This stay was not what I had come to expect, it was a reward night, so I don't know if this had anything to do with the room I was given. The room smelled as if some one had been smoking in it for the last week, and it was a non-smoking room. There was a butt can right out side the door. Maybe you should check to room before you accept it. Carpet was dirty and worn, room just looked old. Probably won't stay there again. Too many other motels around.... March 7, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Business trip This hotel has adjacent motel type building. Although the main building looked very nice I was told no rooms there. I think it was because I received a discounted rate for business travel and they use the lower scale rooms. It was dark outside and the outdoor elevator was not very well lighted and you had to enter away from public viewing. I had safety concerns as I waited for the elevator. room was ok. Hotel way to pricey for what you get and the breakfast they advertise was very unappealing. Had dinner in the restaurant and food was ok. Service was very good. Didn't have many options for food since most everything around the hotel was closed by 9. Defiantly would not recommend this hotel or location to others. Sorry. March 6, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Most of the Staff are very good, the hotel is a DUMP I stay at this hotel a LOT! Check my records. This hotel is near my Corpoarate HQ. I want the Holiday Inn points. BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE, this hotel is a DUMP. Some of the rooms are ok. Room 137 has a heater that sounds like a dumptruck engine. It is either 104 degress or 40 degrees in that room. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO UPGRADE THIS PLACE !!!! January 16, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Our experience. We have stayed here before and had a great stay. We chose this hotel again because of that and the pool. The pool last year in February was super warm and we used it for the 3 days we wre there with our grandchildren . This last stay with our grandchildren was horrible . The pool was freezing and we could not even use it . The whole pool area where the jazcuise is too. We did complain but was to late and we had to leave . January 2, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Weekend Trip This was our first stay at this Holiday Inn and it was pretty nice. We reserved a Executive King Room and it was clean and updated. We had a good overnight stay. However, the food at the Jasmine Restaurant was not hot at all, we had to have the server fix us a hot waffle. The food on the food bar was very good therefore making it not very good. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Favorite Fall destination My wife & I have stayed at this Holiday Inn every October for at least 15 years.. It is central to our North Carolina interests -- NASCAR, Civil War History, daily touring, and NC rail Museum.... Somehow each year there has always been something 'new' to explore and entertain - or revisit.. The Civil War cemetery in Salisbury alone, is a 'must visit', if just to help us remember the severity of that terrible period in our history.. Meanwhile, the hospitality of this Holiday Inn is constant, and their Breakfast Buffet is unequaled anywhere else in our travels.. We have been Priority Club members since 1983, and really appreciate the 'perks' it provides the traveler.. IDR October 19, 2012
