Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disppointed this time I was provided an unneeded handicap room and the configuration was much different than I normally receive. Strangely, the staff called me to ask if the room was comfortable which never happened before. I shared my dissatisfaction at that moment. Additionally, upon checking in, I was offerred 1,000 Rewards point to watch a 90 minute video. I explained I did that on my previous visit to the same hotel. The front desk gal indicated that I could watch it again for additional points. So, I watched the promo for the second time (1.5 hours) but then it prompted that I do not get additional points because I had already watched the promo. Time wasted. I value my time and did not appreciate her misinformation. Strongly considering changing hotels. May 18, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by My Recent Stay At Holiday Inn First and LAST Time! Checked in just fine. Bar Food was below average - Could have got a better meal at Applebees The WORST PART IS: Called Guest Services at 1:44AM because the Air Conditioning was broken in the room only to find out that (of course) their maintenance personal doesn't work on the weekends. The woman apologized and brought me a dusty fan. I continued my terrible & sweaty night of sleep. Scheduled a "Wake-Up" Call for 6:30AM. THEY NEVER CALLED!!!! I ALMOST MISSED MY FLIGHT!!!! Then I call back from the airport to explain how upset I was with them and the woman replies saying, "Sorry Sir, we had your wake-up call for 7:45"!!???! - That's not even close! WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN.. EVER.... PERIOD. April 29, 2014

The Hotel staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We generally travel in our motorhome, but if we were to travel that route again by car and needed a place to stay, we would not hesitate to again stop and stay in this Holiday Inn. April 19, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AIR CONDITION, DOOR, TV Air condition would not work properly which made the room very uncomfortable to sleep or relax in. The door leaving the room would not lock so I would have to stand there and insert my room key in and out to get the door to reset so that it would lock. Tv would not work properly either which led to only getting some of the channels. March 14, 2014

That doesn't seem like much, but with my son and I staying in the hotel, it was an extra $20 for two. I could have stayed at multiple other hotels around the airport, for the same nightly rate, knowing that breakfast was included but opted for this hotel. I assumed (my bad) that breakfast was included here as well. March 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Frustrated about points I am a Platinum Elite member and was disappointed with three things: 1. When I arrived I was given a standard room with two queen beds. I had to ask for the upgrade to a suite that is supposed to be standard with Platinum Elite. 2. Instead of the standard bag of goodies that Platinum Elite Members are given, I was offered 500 points that never made it to my account. 3. The tv in my room did not work. Not a big deal since I don't watch that much anyway but it was noteworthy. Other than those issues the facilities were fine. Staff was friendly and the location was clean. The restaurant was decent which is a fortunate thing since there isn't much to choose from in the surrounding area. Overall it was a perfectly acceptable facility, just disappointed that the service wasn't commensurate with my rewards level. I know it sounds a bit petty but I travel extensively and always stay with IHG. As a result you become accustomed to the perks of being Platinum Elite and do notice when they are overlooked. There are many hotels near to this location. If my rewards status is that easily overlooked, It may as well just stay at a competing chain. February 18, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable bed and no free breakfast. This is the first Holiday-Inn Express I have stayed at that didn't have the free breakfast buffet. I was caught off guard by that. I guess I missed that little detail when booking online. I had 3 people in my party during my 1 night stay, and all 3 of us had trouble sleeping on the beds. They sunk down in the middle and overall were just very uncomfortable. Besides that, the hotel was nice and clean and we had no other issues. February 7, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thanks for a great experience After a long day of driving (and ending up at the wrong Holiday Inn) Jessica met me at the Front Desk check in counter and really turned this bad afternoon around. After explaining to her that I may have booked at the wrong hotel she made a phone call and took care of everything. Jessica never stopped smiling and somehow managed to give me an upgrade! This little extra was completely unexpected and certainly appreciated. The desk area was busy but she made all the necessary inquiries and had things completed in a couple of minutes. The hotel was exactly what I expect in premier accommodations, the room, the great food and of course the great staff. Thanks so much! Vern November 20, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay - could be 5* We stayed here for 3 nights after a two day trip from the UK and then again for 1 night prior to our flight home. We were warmly welcomed as platinum IHG Club members and were very pleased with the roomy two bed suite. The lounge furniture was a little well used but comfy nevertheless. Dinner in the restaurant was good quality and quantity and our server was really friendly and very helpful. This was not so in the morning at breakfast as the service was very slow and the wait staff were not really very interested in serving. The food when it arrived was very good so the chef needs congratulating but the serving staff in the morning are responsible for the 4* rather than the 5* I would have awarded. Front desk staff were very helpful and assisted us in choosing where to go during our stay. The airport shuttle bus lady was very helpful too and assisted us in getting the free shuttle to Temple Square. Everywhere seemed well maintained and pleasant. Everyone remembered us when we got back from our trip to Yellowstone and wanted to know how we enjoyed it (except the breakfast "waitresses") and it felt like coming home. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a welcome, pleasant stay just be warned that if the breakfast buffet is not available (weekends, Mon and Fri?) then service is slow. November 15, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Airport Schutle My trip back to the airport was a treat. The fella driving the bus was a real gentleman and had great knowledge of the area. It was a treat to learn several facts about the area. I hope when I come back on December 2nd I get to experience this again. The young man at the front desk was very helpful I believe his name was James. One morning I came down at 10:05 and was to late for breakfast but this nice young lady told me to come in anyway and they would take care of me. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, bad location I stay in hotels 3 weeks each month, mostly Holiday Inns and though this location was very clean and nicely decorated I will not be back. The area that it is located in is surrounded by many other hotels, but no restaurants within several miles. There is a restaurant in the hotel but the service is terrible and the menu is very limited. The rooms were comfortable but the heating/air unit was regulated and would kick on and off very loudly each night, which is a huge problem for a light sleeper. The hotel staff was very friendly but the staff at the restaurant was less than par. Next time I will stay in a better location with more food options nearby. October 20, 2013

The rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with very comfortable beds and pillows. The shuttle is fast and convenient to/from the airport. I have eaten both breakfast and dinner in the on-site restaurant and the food has been surprisingly good. The staff is friendly and always eager to assist. I will continue to use this facility whenever business requires me to be in Salt lake City. I was nicely rewarded for my loyalty and Platinum Club membership with a free upgrade to a very nice , large room with a living room area and fireplace...unfortunately, a little to warm yet to use the fireplace, but thanks you anyway! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent customer service I would recommend this hotel as I felt the staff went out of their way to help us. We needed to return our car to the airport and despite the hotel not having a shuttle driver until later in the day they organised for a shuttle from a neighbouring hotel to collect us. They also only had coffee making facilities in the room and being British we needed our tea so James on reception went to the restaurant to get us each a free cup of english tea. The room was great, had a fridge in the room and pay per view and a very fancy alarm clock! The bed was super comfortable and the proximity to the airport was a real plus. Also we got discount in the restaurant as we're IHG rewards members. September 30, 2013

We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised how delicious our meals were. The portions were big and the prices were were not expensive. The wait staff was very friendly both nights. The shuttle driver back to the airport kept us entertained. I would Ike to recommend this hotel if you are traveling into Salt Lake. September 25, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by ok for one night We were stuck in Salt Lake due to missed connection. This was the second hotel we stayed at, the first should be condemned. Needless to say, we were tired and grumpy when we arrived. Hotel staff did not thank me for being a platinum member or offer a free upgrade or any other perk. Room was okay...but at least it was clean, Breakfast the next morning was on par for this level hotel, not great, but not awful. September 23, 2013
