Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by room needs attention Check-in took 25 minutes. Carpet coming out of elevator was matted down with dirt and halls where dark. Front door of room had to be slammed to close and bathroom door would not shut. Room needed painting and had several cosmetic problems. Room was dark and gloomy. Went back to front desk and requested refund. Staff stated there was no manager on duty and it would be 30 minutes before there would be one. Staff offered another room while we waited. Went to other room to look. It appeared OK so we took it as we couldn't find another hotel in area with an available room. Upon returning to room later that night it was discovered that TV didn't work and upon trying to take shower it was discovered that the water faucet would not turn far enough to get hot water (it would only turn half way). Upon checkout we could not get a receipt due to staff being "to busy" and if we wanted to wait she would print one out when she got a chance. October 16, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Been to better Wasn't the worst stay, but definitely won't be back. Elevator ride was a bit scary. Mold on the bathroom walls. Called front desk for toothpaste when I realized I had forgotten mine. They told me it would be right up. An hour and a half later, still no toothpaste. I finally left to go get my own. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Condition of guest room. Guest room really needs updating. Furnishings and carpet out dated, dark and not at all pretty. Bath room floor tiles and grout not pleasant. All in all for the cost this room was expensive. October 14, 2014

The staff was great to work with and there was nothing that we required that wasn't dealt with promptly and professionally. I , as a reunion planner, would recommend this hotel to any group that was thinking of going to San Antonio for a reunion. Over the years I've found this true of the Holiday Inns that we have contracted for our reunions in different parts of the country. I hope that the Holiday Inns top management knows what good people they have working at their hotels. October 10, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not very clean The quality of the room was poor. There were small burn holes in the comforter and other small, but noticeable issues. The water in the shower never got warmer than a 'lukewarm' temperature. In the morning when I was going to take a shower, I noticed a very large bug in the shower... Had I planned to stay another night, I would have changed hotels. Location fine - about 15 min walk to some bars/restaurants. Staff was very polite. No fridge or microwave. October 9, 2014
