Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Will definitely be back! Loved the service! Despite 2 very large groups being booked in the hotel the same weekend, the service was great. The hotel staff even accommodated our group when the weather caused a last minute venue change for our event. The hotel kindly donated the use of the ballroom without blinking an eye! This could have been a huge problem for us, but not at this hotel! The room was very comfortable and clean. The only negative was the lack of ventilation fan in the bathroom, but I've noticed the same thing lately at other hotels of comparable quality so maybe that's just the trend. I did not eat/drink at the hotel restaurant/lounge, but several who did commented that the food was good. Next time my family is in San Antonio I will definitely book at this hotel again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Stay @ San Antonio, TX Holiday Inn Remodeling is great. Fresh and clean rooms. I like the 'NO carpet floors!" However, upon arrival our room had one bar of soap?! The following morning the maid knocked on the door to clean, we stated not now and the room was never cleaned. We had to ask for clean bath towels. Pool is small, but like the location. Staff is friendly, great location right on the Riverwalk, feel the price of room should have included the $19.xx cost of daily parking. I would recommend this hotel and probably one day revisit. It was all walking distance to all attractions downtown and very convinent for the kiddos. I hgiht recommended especially if you and your lovely want alone time too. Great place to stay. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great rooms I stayed here with a large group. The hotel did a great job accommodating all of us. Our event was rained out and the hotel let us use one of their ballrooms. My room was clean, with a comfy bed and nice linens. I had a lovely view of the San Antonio skyline, and the location can't be beat. Plenty of parking, very helpful staff. The wifi is free, and you get what you pay for. It was spotty, and unreliable. And, the restaurant is not good. The service is slow, and it seemed like everything was previously frozen. Good bar to hang out in, and have a few cocktails. I'd stay here again. July 8, 2013

We have traveled to San Antonio before but, we had not stayed at this property. The staff were the very knowledgable about thier property and the surrounding area. The entire staff was pleasent, knowledgeable, courtious, delightful,and I would recomend this HOLIDAY-INN to anyone. keep up the good work July 8, 2013

Hotel parking garage elevator was out So that meant you go out walk up four floors get all your stuff walk down four floors . And when you ask a question everything was I am not sure ?? Not a great way to start off. Then you go in and see the whole place is under construction or either broken / out of order 1. Coffee machine - man working on it 2. Pool and hot tub - out of order sign 3. Bathroom - out of order sign Then having the room next to the elevator that open and closed all night to the ac squeaking loudly The room itself was beautiful and clean the balcony over the river was great I hate to say it with so many choices of places to stay on the river Not really sure if We will be back to this one July 8, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Stand around and wait Don't stay here if there is any kind of event going on in San antinio that requires going up and down the elevators. 2 of the people in my party were disabled we were on the 11 floor and we waited 25 minutes each day to get down to lobby. Finally had to go up just to go down.maintence workers working on inside of elevators while you we're in side. Very poor weekend spent more time waiting to get out of hotel than outside enjoying the town. July 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Weekend Get Away The Holiday Inn Express on the Riverwalk is a great place to stay. You exit right onto the riverwalk and are within walking distance (two minutes) of all the shops and dining. The Alamo is about 5 minutes or so walking distance and the Tower of the Americas is about 10-15 minutes walk. The staff was very attentive but we did need to call twice to have our room cleaned one day. No big issue just a little inconvenient. The room was great, we got the king room with queen hideaway and was very comfortable for my me, my wife and my daughter. The only issue, and it was a small one was the elevator wait and congestion. There was a convention or something going on this weekend and there were lines for the elevators most of the weekend. Again no big deal just a small inconvenience. Overall we had a great weekend, a relaxing stay and the rooms were Very Nice and newly remodeled. July 6, 2013

We travel a lot and usually chose boutique hotels but on this trip we were with a group that was staying here. I can not express how impressed we were with the hotel. The rooms were HUGE, comparatively to other Holiday Inns. I loved the floors, so much so I said I wanted them in my own home. The staff was very helpful and informative. Location is perfect with easy Riverwalk access. Definitely just earned a spot on my top hotels list. Amazing! July 5, 2013

Largest draw back to the property was that the pool was VERY small. Would only fit 2-3 families and not many deck chairs. July 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RiverWalk Ease This H.I. property is amazing. The whole site has gone through a nice refresh. Rooms are new, modern, and clean. The location on the River Walk is great. The value is where one expects. I have yet to be disappointed by any of the IHG properties. The only negative, I wish there was a bar on site that was open until late. July 5, 2013

The rooms were nice and clean and my stay was comfortable. The rooms had wooden floors and the view of Riverwalk below was awesome !! Wow , can't beat it affordable and what I enjoyed was having the Riverwalk steps away !!! I'll be coming back. : ) July 4, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Service Tried to check in, they would not let us. Finally got ahold of someone to help and she was ruder than the front desk person. Once we got the room straightened out then the room we got was dirty and had hair and dirty sheets and dirty towels all over the room. When we called down to see what was wrong they said there was nothing they could do and then had the nerve to say to my wife "What would you like us to do call a cleaning service to come clean the room?" So after 45 minutes of arguing and fighting with the front desk and their "manager" we got a new room, that was clean. Over all we planned on staying 3 night but after just 2 short night of dealing with the staff and the people in this hotel, we left and came home because we were having a hard time relaxing and all we wanted was for our children to be able to enjoy the river walk and Schlitterbahn, but oh well. I definitely would not recommend this hotel. It may have been renovated and cleaned up but the staffs needs a definite attitude adjustment and remember that they are in the customer service industry and we pay their bills, not the other way around. Like a good salesman once told me, "The customer is always right. Always!" July 3, 2013

The staff were all friendly and attentive, the room was clean and well stocked with all my needs. The beds were so comfortable I didn't want to leave them. Restaurant service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious. When our outdoor event was rained out, the hotel made a ballroom available to us and helped us set up with only a few hours notice. July 3, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location! I enjoyed this hotel. San Antonio is one of those fun downtown’s where you do not need a rental car because everything is close to the hotel. The convention center, arena, the Alamo, tons of restaurants and bars on the River Walk and on Houston Street. To watch my favorite baseball team, I only had to walk 3 blocks to a sports bar that was enthusiastic. Was here on business, but would want to return with my wife for an awesome 3-day weekend. The hotel has a nice restaurant, bar, hot tub, pool and gym. As a platinum member, I was upgraded to a nice 2-room suite with wood floors. If you go to San Antonio, I advise you to stay at this holiday Inn. July 2, 2013

Hotel is close enough to all the action, but far enough away for those quiet times you need to relax. We stay here every summer and have never been disappointed. Food could be better, but on the Riverwalk we don't eat at the hotel. There may be fancier places to stay, but for the value this one is the best! June 26, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Upon arrival we were instructed to pay to park several blocks away, instead of receiving Hotel parking. The garage was full, and they said our truck would not clear their entrance. I feel as though we should have been informed upon making the reservation that there were clearance limits for their parking garage. Never had this happen before. Very inconvenient for our group! Upon checking in with another couple we were advised there were no 2 rooms close together as we had requested months before. After some insistence, we were accommodated. We had breakfast at the hotel, ordered from the menu. The food was cold, the fried eggs (whites) were raw. The service was poor. Although there were several seats available overlooking the River Walk, we were not seated there. The hotel was located at the end of the River Walk, therefore you had to walk quite a way to get to the Alamo, Carriage Rides, Shopping, Restaurants, & other sites. Over all, the hotel was too pricey and not worth revisiting. June 25, 2013

The riverwalk being right outside of my hotel is something I took full advantage of every night. This was my first time being in San Antonio and the hotel definitely won me over. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Stay We had a wonderful stay at this Riverwalk Hotel. The room was large, very comfortable and clean. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Other staff members were just as nice and friendly. The new restaurant was nicely decorated and had a great selection on its menu. The food was great as well. They also had a great snack bar with coffee, sandwiches, desserts, and frozen dinners if you wanted to eat in your room. Location was great, it seemed that everything we wanted to do and see were close by. Would highly recommend this hotel to any one. June 24, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok Stay I was their for a conference and my wife came along. The housekeeping staff came around early so we asked them to come back. From 1 - 3:30 we were gone and even called housekeeping to let them know that we would be out of the room and it didn't get cleaned. We actually did not have any maid service the whole time we were there. Had to have towels delivered to the room to shower. Also did not get a wake up call and woke up late for conference. The hotel front desk folks were very polite and did give us a 50.00 credit, so that was nice. Also the restaurant is closed for lunch. There are plenty of other places to eat though. I would stay there again, but this time I would know what to expect. June 21, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average at Best Average hotel with decent pool & fitness area. The room was rather average in size, but the restroom was nice. The noise in our hallway at night was almost to much for us to sleep. The down stairs restraunt had very bland average food at a very high price. To access the riverwalk you had to walk across a patio that never had less than 6-8 people smoking which was not great especially with young children having to walk through the smoke. The checkin and checkout process was great and the guys at the front desk were very friendly. Parking was very easy, but it was rather pricey. We were well within walking distance to everything we needed. If we had to stay here again we would, but will probably explore other options next time instead. June 21, 2013
