Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by close to everything and comfortable Stayed here on July the 27-29. Hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly and were always in a good mood. The hotel was very close to fiesta tx and la cantera shops, also to a many variety of restaurants. Also the drive to the riverwalk was about 15 min. Great experiance at this hotel will definetly stay here again. August 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vacation I have to say the hotel was very nice and clean. I was able to relax after going out every day with my husband to do things for our vacation. But at the same time, I am also an employee of a sister hotel, and I know the ins and outs of how things are done... I was not greeted as an IHG Rewards Club Member nor as a Platnium Member, also at our hotel we NEVER let a guest see us on our cell phones.... nor do we let a guest walk through our lobby without greeting them. I have to say I was very shocked that this was the case at this fine hotel. Other than that everything else was Awesome. I called before I got there and changed my room from a double to a king and the nice young man on the phone upgraded me to a suite since I was a platinum member. That was the only time my membership status was ever mentioned. But in saying all of that, I would still recomend this hotel. July 17, 2013

I was supposed to have a refund check delivered to me in a week but I haven't received it after two weeks. The reason why is because I rented two nights there,but had to leave home early and only they only charged us one night. They said they would deliver us a refund check within the next week to this day I haven't received anything. July 13, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by very poor customer service When we arrived at Hotel they did not recognize Priority club membership and said that they don't honor that. Then 2nd day of our stay we saw ants in bedsides and one bit my younger son, on complain they initially said that some will takes care of it when we leave the room , but later they called and asked us to change room from 335 to 338. Front desk people were rude. When my wife asked them to help with laundry machine on 6/25/13 the person at front desk was rude and very reluctant to help. On 6/26/13 when we came back to hotel at around 10:30 pm our room was dirty and it was never cleaned, bed sheets were still on floor with pillows and towels were dirty. When I called front desk he said he cannot do anything. He did apologize once but his way of responds was very rude. May be this hotel needs customer service training. I did speak with the Manager on o6/27/13, he listened to my complaints and was very apologetic. He stated the he is new at this particular location (one and half month) and understands hard tasks ahead. July 3, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Dirty and Beat Up I have been staying at this location because it is new. That has changed. There was dirt all over the floor in the lobby around the elevator. In the morning some one had used one of the elevators as a trash can, this is unacceptable. The room was dirty and there were tiles missing on the vanity (Room 315). I will stay at another hotel on my next trip to San Antonio, even though I may have to drive farther to meet my customers. July 3, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very pleasant hotel Stayed one night at this Holiday Inn, initially booked at a Holiday Inn Express nearby but found that they had not got space (!) and recommended us to this hotel. The hotel is quite new, the room was in great condition and was quiet. It is situated near the I-10 and is next to a Walmart and Sam's Club. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worst experience We have stayed here numerous times in the past year and this experience was the most unpleasant. We arrived at 3:00pm to check in and did not get into our rooms until 4:45 with no explanation from the desk clerk except that the rooms were not cleaned yet. Really no concern was shown from either desk clerk as we had to keep asking if the rooms were ready. Breakfast the next morning was another disaster. We went into the restaurant one hour before breakfast was scheduled to end and there was no food available from the buffet. We were told they were cooking more or we could order from the menu which would take about 30 minutes. We waited for 20 minutes before the waitress even took our drink orders. Finally some food came out but we were told they were out of milk and pancakes, which is all the kids wanted. We asked to speak to the manager and were told there was no manager on duty as it was the weekend. April 8, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Check in time.....?????. they do not have a clue well, second time staying at this location since december and they are still not able to honor their 3 pm check in time. both times was not able to check in til about 6:30 pm. it seems to me that this is such a regular thing to the people behind the desk they shrug their shoulders and do not even appear apologetic in any way. both times we had a room with king size bed, I like the rooms but I do not think it is enough to try a 3rd stay. also requested extra towels which should not even be considered extra because they only give you 3 large towels and the did not honor that pre request. they did let us have late check out 1 pm instead of 11 am. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room Room and bed were both above average. Unfortunately the staff was not very accommodating. I did arrive without a reservation around 12:00 pm, but was told I couldn't check in before 3:00 pm. I left and came back after 3 hours and was informed that the room wasn't ready and had to wait in the lobby for a few minutes. The next morning at around 6:30 am I asked for a late check out and was informed that because of the fact that they were so busy that they couldn't let me stay past 11:00 am. I travel most weekdays and stay at a lot of different hotels, this is the first time in 3 years of traveling that any hotel has not allowed an early check in or late check out. I will be back in San Antonio in April and I can assure everyone that I will find other accommodations, not that it wont be a IHG brand just wont be this one. March 30, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No maids to make the room Stay Tuesday through Friday and received no maid service during this time. The hotel did bring clean towels to the room but only upon request. Tried restaurant first morning and the service was so slow that the waitstaff told us that we would no be charged for the meal. The initial bill was issued at full price but after discussing with the front desk the total amount was discounted. March 21, 2013

The issue I have is that when I arrived at the hotel around noon, the person at the first desk was quick to say "we have no rooms available, come back after 3pm" .. and that was about it. Really unfriendly about it .. He didn't even to bother to look up the reservation. I understand the hotel was booked up and that the rooms needed to be cleaned. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Fire Alarm When I travel I often experience a time change. After flying all day and going right to work I was looking forward to a good nights sleep. Much to my surprise I was woke up to a fire alarm at 11:30 PM which was a false alarm. What was discouraging is no one seemed to know what to do or did any of the staff care. It is as if they thought it was funny. Then it happened again around 1:00 AM. You would have thought an apology from the manager or owner to all of the guests would have happened however even when I asked the gentlemen at the desk if this happened often he laughed and said it had only happened one time before. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Blaring Fire Alarm - for an Hour and Half While the facility is new and quite nice, our stay was anything but satisfactory. At 11:22 PM the fire alarm went off. We quickly got out of bed, threw on some clothes, and went out into the cold night. We waited outside about 20 minutes while the fire department came and cleared the hotel. After returning to our room and getting back in bed, the alarm went off again. We again got up, got clothes on and went outside (fire alarms are something that should not be ignored or presumed to be a false alarm). We did this 2 more times, but by 12:30, having evacuated 4 times, we began to ignore the fire alarm intermittently going off (though it made sleep quite impossible). The alarm continued going off until sometime after 1:00 AM. After getting breakfast in the hotel restaurant the next morning (and having to wait about 10 minutes for our bill), we were told that breakfast was free because of the previous night's fiasco. This was little recompense since I already had a certificate for a free breakfast (priority platnium member). When checking out, I made my unhappiness known to the front desk employee but I was told that they were authorized only to provide a free breakfast - nothing more. The breakfast was certtianly nothing special and the sevice was lousy. The front desk clerk when we checked in was friendly and efficient and the property was new and very nice. However, the ultimate purpose of the hotel room is to gett a good night's sleep while away from home. On this count, the Holiday Inn failed miserably and the free breakfast was quite inadequate as compensation for this unhappy traveler. March 13, 2013

After staying 2 nights, I come in the third night and I was locked out of my room. Had to go back down stairs to front desk and was told my room cards had been de-activated because I did not complete guest registration form. This is not the first time this has happened. I wouldn't think they would treat their regular monthly customers that way since they don't have enough guests to even fill the front lot parking spaces. I left two messages for a manger to call me, but never heard from anyone. March 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceeded Expectations on All Levels. A gem. A new property tucked away just off of I-10 W. A great location with easy access on and off I-10. One of few hotels where room size, finish, and fittings exceeded expectations on all levels. Extremely comfortable bed. Staff cannot get any friendlier or helpful. Really excellent value. Will be doing regular trips to San Antonio over the year. Checked out a lot of hotels in the city. Honestly, unless you plan on staying in one of the resorts and paying USD 300+ per night there is no better place to stay. Limitation is limited hours of restaurant and room service, but with host of restaurants and supermarkets in the immediate vicinity not a major issue. Has a decent gym and self service laundry on site. Also a pool and jacuzzi though overlooking parking lot. Ample parking space. February 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Holiday Inn I've ever stayed in My wife and I loved this hotel. It is in a somewhat peculiar location, nestled behind a Walmart & Sam's Club. But it has great access and plenty of restaurants nearby. This is a newer hotel; the staff said that they opened in Spring 2012. It showed; our basic King room was just beautiful, and had a very unique layout. Upon entering there is a small living area with TV, sectional sofa, coffee table, as well as a desk/work area. Towards the back is a separate bedroom area with TV, which is separated from the living area by a kitchette with fridge/microwave and the well-equipped bathroom. I've seen other hotels try to pull this off and it looks/feels very cramped. The designers did an outstanding job of maximizing space without causing claustrophobia. Unfortunately we had to run out in the morning and did not have the opportunity to have breakfast at the hotel, so we cannot comment on the food or dining experience. Staff was typical "Texas-friendly". The only services I used other than the room itself was to go down to the shop and get some bottled water. It was quick and easy, the staff just added to the room (at what I considered to be a very reasonable price, $1 each; other chains charge $2 or more). In short, my experience at this hotel only served to validate my prior recent decision to switch from another chain I've been using for business travel and go exclusively with Holiday Inn. I have enjoyed a consistently good experience at several Holiday Inn Express hotels recently, and our experience at this hotel was particularly outstanding. We would absolutely recommend this hotel, and will stay here again ourselves the next time we visit San Antonio. February 14, 2013
