Only complaints are sometimes the elevator takes a long time and wish they had automatic checkout and slide the bill under the door like most properties. Will definitely stay here again. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Bed Stayed at this location for a family wedding. The hotel was nice and clean. I was able to sleep well, but I understand from other family members that the highway side was little noisy. You should ask for ocean side view for a quieter nights sleep. The only problem was the extremely SLOW elevator. The hotel is only 3 floors and not very large, but the elevator became a joke amongst the guests. August 18, 2014

He was a hoot. Very entertaining and made us feel very comfortable. Wish I could remember his name! But I am sure you know who I am talking about if you have stayed at this hotel!!! August 13, 2014

The hot water in the shower wasn't working either (it wouldn't stay on,) so they only get one more chance for me to stay here. I hope they fixed it all, because this is a convenient, beautiful location, with a very friendly staff, especially in the restaurant. August 1, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by this could have been a great stay 1. This was a working vacation and i needed in room internet service. I was unable to connect the first night and talked to Todd the Manager the next morning, Todd tried hard to help that morning and we were able to get a connection with 2 bars. However, as soon as Todd left the connection failed and the network didn't even show as a possible connection. I left a message for Todd to call me and he never returned my call, that was on 6-18 as of today 6-23 i still haven't heard from him. 2. the dining experience was excellent, especially by the manager (Inaja? who's name i can't remember how to spell), but he was from Persia. he couldn't do enough for you. good food, great service and a fun experience. that was over the weekend. on Monday i received a nice greeting when i entered the restaurant by both Boyd and another i believe to be the cook, however things went down hill from there. he was surly when asking for something, messed up the order. then watched him serve another table of 7 and mess up their order a couple of times. Boyd when he brought me my check tossed on the table from behind me. No here's your check, I'll take when your ready, nothing. i left and came back a few minutes later and asked for a cup of coffee, which he reluctantly poured for me saying "there's coffee in the lobby".. my wife running late as always, walked into the restaurant at 10 minutes to 10 (they close at 10) My buddy Boyd told her the restaurant is closed and refused to serve her. when i confronted him at 5 minutes to 10, he said he didn't tell her the restaurant was closed but that it was closing and then told me to send her in. in can figure my response to that, FORGET IT!!! As i said this could have been a great stay, i travel every week end 6 months out of the year at various properties depending where my office books me. this was the worst experience I've had, especially from a Holiday Inn Property. I'm still waiting for that phone call, Todd!! July 23, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by noise proof! I was very surprised that once you close the sliding doors that you can't hear freeway noise. In every other SC hotel I have stayed at you can hear the cars all night long. Staff was friendly, hotel was nice. Good pool. Would stay here again. July 17, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by San Clemente Stay The overall hotel was nice and clean and the location is great. However the hotel staff did not have skills/ training in customer service. If they did it was not shown; My first impression was when I asked for coffee.Most hotels always have fresh coffee, upon check in. When I asked for coffee the front desk person said no we do not have any and if you want you can brew some in your room or go to Starbucks, this was not good warm hospitality and not the kind that makes a person want to return to your hotel. I was expecting to find a "State of the Art" fitness center as advertised. Let me enlighten you, it is not. Nothing in the fitness center worked. Not one piece of equipment worked, not the stationary cycle or both elepticals. There was not one working piece of fitness equipment in working order, you also advertised a tread mill, but there was not one.. There was not a remote for the TV either. I called the front desk and he came down and said to me" what channel do you want the TV on, I guess he planned on being my personal remote while I tried to get a workout. I said to him I can change it myself but I prefer to use a remote since I intended to work out.. After all that I hopped on the Eleptical, then bicycle and none were working. Nope, no state of the art fitness center here. So I reported it to the maintenance person. That evening, we called the front desk from 9 -9:30 pm continually, we had an issue with the toilet and the phone rang and rang and no one answered, I repaired it myself. When we told the hotel person at the front desk the next morning, he shrugged his shoulders and said "someone should have answered". I went down the next morning at 7 am ready to have breakfast at the restauraunt. I walked around the restaurant to see if I could find someone but there was no staff in sight so I left. It is sad that the staff lacks training becuase the location is ideal and that is the reason we choose to stay at your hotel. There was also a very foul odor in the elevator each morning and was told that that was the way it was. A little Febreez would have helped. Oh, and one other thing, it appears that the maids have their children playing in the rooms while they were cleaning them, hope my stuff was safe. This is strike two for Holliday Inn, Last one I stayed in had a roach at the breakfast bar. June 4, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Priority Club Service I am a platinum priority club member and have stayed in many Holiday Inns. I could not believe that nothing was offered for the priority club member. This is unbelievable. I also stayed in a two room mini suite(room 301) and could not believe that the only TV was in the bedroom without a chair, just the bed. Whatever happened to putting a TV in the sitting area. The restaurant was closed by 11:00 am on Sunday and was not open for dinner at all. What gives. All in all for the rate of 189 per night this is not a good value and I would never recommend it or return to this hotel. May 9, 2014

The Resturant may not not a 5 Start the Manager/Owner is extremely helpful, attentive and eager to please. This is my second stay and I'm planning on returning. The front clerk was very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to ocean view though it's not exactly a great view. There was no traffic noise at all. Highly recommended. January 5, 2014
