Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Over-rated! Over-rated hotel. Promises great views from the most expensive rooms but limited by filthy windows and poor sound insulation. Aged bathrooms and towels. Recommended restaurants near the hotel are generally of poor quality. Great fresh pizzas in the main restaurant though and all staff in the hotel were friendly. Disappointingly long wait at check-in (25 mins) despite only a couple of people in the queue... Needs to take a look at it's sister hotel InterContinental which has a better approach to its customers. November 17, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by resteraunt service The food was great. Unfortunately, the service was not. We ate in the restaurant 4 times and the service was poor at best. If you have nothing else to do you will eventually get a good quality meal but the average from seating to eating was 45 minutes for us. November 16, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Convinient location, good Service We stayed at the Holiday Inn Golden gate for 4nights,overall it was a good experience. Hotel room clean and comfy although a bit dated. Receptionist the first night @check in was great, the others not always of the same standard, Coffee shop and bar rather poor with not so competent staff.
