Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Location I was interviewing at UCSF medical and flew in from the East Coast. This property was an excellent location for my purposes. I arrived with the Pineapple Express weather pattern, the street lights were not working in San Francisco, schools were cancelled, but this hotel was still comfortable and easily accessible. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again. December 19, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Outlier I have stayed in many IHG properties over the years. I have been a platinum member for part of that time. I do not take platinum benefits for granted, and I don't expect to be treated like royalty wherever I go. I was very surprised by the level of service I received during this stay. My lasting impression of this property was left by Jimmy, who did my check-out on 5 December. His listed title was Guest Services Manager. I had a question about my bill (not about charges, just about how the charges were worded) and he handled the question in bizarrely rude fashion. I have not experienced that kind of treatment in a long time. Check-in was also awkward. I was directed to what appeared to be a standard room. The check-in agent had already thanked me for being a platinum member (which is nice, of course), so I asked her if I had been given a standard room because no upgrades were available. She looked at me as if I were making an absurd request. I explained that it was a benefit I had received in the past. She said that the room I had been given was on the "quiet side" of the hotel, which she seemed to think qualified as an upgrade. The room itself was fine. The breakfast was fine. For what it cost, the breakfast was not a good value. And about value: the value of being a platinum member has decreased to the point that it no longer seems worth it. In the past I have tried to be IHG platinum because of the upgrades and other benefits, such as free breakfast. Now the only benefit seems to be 500 points or a bottle of water. Other chains are taking better care of elite members. If this is how IHG plans to reward frequent travelers, my guess is that they will start migrating to other chains. I have enjoyed the years when IHG elite status was truly valuable, but that time appears to have passed. December 19, 2014

My room had a good view and there was no street noise (cable car was just around the corner and the operators usually ring those bells). December 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location in San Francisco for a Business Traveler Stayed for a week in November and was given a corner room which was amazing for SF standards. Highly recommend this hotel for a business traveler due to location and proximity to excellent restaurants. Bevmo is a short walk, Starbucks is next door inside a Wells Fargo and the hotel is close to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Note: Guest parking is an additional $40, which is not included in your initial hotel rate December 19, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great Hotel with numerous updates I like all of the upgrades that were done to the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and relaxing. I like the blackout curtins, there great for sleeping in. The staff members are amazing, very helpful and friendly. Whenever I see Anthony at the front desk I know its going to be a great check-in experience. The hotel is very clean and in a great location. I highly recommend this property, its definitely worth another look if you have not stayed there in a while. December 16, 2014
