me alojé en el hotel porque tenía que realizar una actividad en una empresa cercana. Está a una distancia caminando del lugar, y tiene todos los servicios disponibles. Me hubiese gustado usar el jacuzzi pero no me dio el tiempo. Bajé tarde a cenar y pude hacerlo sin ningún problema. Por eso es que la próxiima vez me volvería alojar en el mismo hotel

Es un hotel en el centro de San José por lo que está muy bien ubicado para el viajero de negocios, más que para el de placer.
Considerando las características de la cadena, es un hotel con apariencia un poco vieja.
Hay detalles en la habitación, como deficiencias en las cortinas y el agua caliente, que no son acordes con una cadena como el Holiday Inn

I've stayed here multiple times, dating to 2002.
Lately, the attention to detail is just horrible.
The rooms are so under equipped, it's embarrassing.
No pens and paper.
The mini bar wasn't even full in my room one night, then when I switched rooms the mini bar was full but locked. I called the front desk to unlock it, but nobody came.
Bathrooms and water situation are garbage. Awful plumbing. Just terrible.
The pool area is so dated, it's not even funny. The hot tub is never hot.
I had to sign my paperwork saying I agreed to the pre-authorization on my credit card. Just a basic credit card signature. Took an extra ten minutes at check in because they had to triple review my signature, because it wasn't exactly like my passport signature (that I signed 8 years ago).
We're not banking here, it's a simple signature for my CC to cover incidentals. Big waste of time trying to determine if I was indeed using a fake passport (with my own photo) and setting me back about 10 minutes in the process.
The guest fee is $70. I won't elaborate there. But come on, really?
Everything is dated here, and while it's a business/non sex tourist destination which is great for obvious reasons, they need to update this entirely or it'll be decrepit before 2015.

We enjoyed the stay and had our room upgraded because of Platinum Status. Room was comfortable & clean. We were given access to the Executive Lounge.
* The customer service of Orlando & Rosemary in the coffee shop
* The customer service of Tony the bellman
* The customer service of Ana at the front desk
* The customer service of Jose in the bar & room service
* The supreme pizza in the coffee shop
* Convenient location
* Gray Line Tour desk in the hotel with extremely helpful staff
* Dirty dishes in the Executive Lounge.
* No attendant on duty in Executive Lounge to clean up & replenish food and drinks in cooler
* Hostess in the coffee shop was extremely rude on Saturday night. Big group was eating buffet in coffee shop & the 17 floor restaurant was closed for private party. She made us feel unwelcomed so we ate in the bar. Some customer service & English language training would help. My wife & I both speak Spanish but her attitude precluded communication.

Front desk was very friendly. Hotel is an older hotel, but the appearance is very elegant and modern. Rooms were comfortable, location is excellent and prices were very reasonable for the area.

I stay at the Holiday Inn Aurola because the experience at this property is enhanced for me as an IHG Platinum member. My loyalty to IHG is clearly rewarded at this properly and the staff do their best to elevate the experience of your stay. The property features a daily happy hour with refreshments/ food for executive floor guests which is always a very nice touch. A continental breakfast is also provided there.
