Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place This has been the nicest Holiday Inn I've been to. I travel alot for work and room and staff were all great. On my forth day a bus load of teenagers showed up, but they quickly got them to thier rooms and I never heard them again.I had a few issuses with the door card and they fixed it right away. I will be staying here again on my next visit to Santa Maria for work. March 21, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst experience of my life. I arrived at 4:00pm. At 6:30pm, a strange man used a key to enter my room. To his defense, he was equally confused of what was happening... but as a female traveling alone... I was confused and SCARED! I immediately called the front desk to tell them they just gave a complete stranger a key to my room, to which the gal said "I don't know what happened, I just game off a break." No aplogogies. No, attempt to ensure my safety. I asked for the manager on site, to which I was told there was none. After I suggested she figure out what happened and call me back... she called me 10 mins later, and said, "We checked two people into the same room, but it's OK because we got his keys back." No attempt to make me feel comfortable. I told her I wanted a new room, to which seemed a total inconvenience to her. 5 minutes later, I was brought a new set of keys, but was not offered any assistance in relocated rooms, nor was I offered anything else as a compensation. The next morning, I asked to speak with the GM of the hotel but he wasn't there (8:45 am). He didn't call me back until 6:30pm that evening because he "was busy." In the meantime, I called Customer Relations, and was offered $30 for my inconvenience. INCONVENIENCE!?!?! As someone who travels frequently, I had the worst experience I've ever had. It's a safety issue, it's a system issue, it's a customer service issue, and it's a training issue. Keep in mind, the manager didn't offer me any compensation. He just said he was going to fire the front staff member. January 27, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Gone Downhill My company has used this hotel extensively while our employees do field work in the area. I've stayed here over 300 days over the past 8 years. It's always been a nice place to stay. After a 2 year break, I stayed here again when work brought me to the area. I've been traveling quite a bit over the past year and have reached the platinum level in Priority club points. The perks are nice and I have enjoyed them at other Holiday Inn properties across the country. Not here though. Not anymore. When I checked in and mentioned I was Platinum level (I had to tell them even though it was on my reservation), I inquired about a possible room upgrade. None were available, which was fine although a coworker who checked in after me got one. I asked about breakfast coupons that were a common platinum level perk at other Holiday Inns. The response was "no, we don't do that anymore". Funny, the Holiday Inn Express one town over offers everyone free breakfast. I was free to spend $10+ on breakfast at their restaurant though. Drink coupons for the bar? Nope. I did get a special "in room" priority club package. This was a small bag of trail mix, a small bag of Cheetos, and one bottle of water. One time gift only -wouldn't be replenished at any point in my stay. Very disappointing. I sent my laundry out to be done and wasn't told it took 2 days. On day 2, they failed to pick it up and the cleaners closed. I had to move on to my vacation and it took them over 5 days to get my laundry to me. They paid for the overnight shipping (which was nice), but still charged me for the actual laundry even though I had to spend Christmas with no clothes other than the ones I had on my back. My travels will bring me back to the area quite a bit over the next couple of months. I'll be looking for other HI properties to stay at from now on. January 3, 2013

Location is backed up against freeway so a little noisy on the North side of the two buildings. No continental Breakfast but food available in restaurant excellent. December 5, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by House cleaning services were excellent Fresh flowers delivered to the hotel on a Tuesday morning were not delivered to the room until Thursday evening. Obviously the roses were dead. Security was non-existent. Our rear view mirror was smashed in the parking lot. Internet access was very poor. Needless to say this was not our best experience. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Another Holiday Weekend in Santa Maria Check in was okay, the room was not ready at noon so while hoping for early check in, it did not happen. We booked the suite so each of my boys could have a bed. When the sofa bed is obviously being used it would be really helpful if the cleaning team could remake the sofa bed. It might seem like a small thing, but after a long day of relatives and stuff, it is a bummer to come back to the room and make a bed. Have a great weekend Best regards, Dave November 29, 2012
